Dorothy Witch Scarecrow Tin Man Lion

Curtain opens. Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are being twirled around in a hurricane until she eventually falls to the ground trapping the witch underneath her.

Dorothy stands up. The witch gets up too.

Oh, where am I? The last thing I remember I was at my uncle and aunt’s house and now I am in some strange place.

I’ll tell you where you are! You are lying on top of me. You big oaf. Get o� of me so that I can breathe.

Oh I am very sorry. I didn’t see you there. Let me get up.

Well, I should think so too!

So where am I?

You are in Munchkin Land. I am the good witch of the North, and I am lucky to be alive as you have actually squashed the wicked witch of the East.

Oh, well I am sorry about that, but how do I get back to Kansas?

I have never heard of Kansas, but I would say the only way you are going to get home is with the help of the Wizard of Oz.

How do I fi nd him?

They all walk o� again and after a while they come across a lion, who jumps out in front of them, trying to scare them.

Hey, don’t cry. We’re all of to see the Wizard of Oz to see if he can help us all. Dorothy and Toto need to get home, Scarecrow needs some brains, and I need a heart. Maybe he can help you get some courage.

So they all go o� , following the road to the Wizard. Eventually they arrive at a Palace and a big voice talks to them but they can’t see the wizard.

Wizard of Oz voice: What do you all want?

We were told that you can help me get home and I am hoping you can help my friends with their wishes.

Actually we are all sisters. It’s just that 2 of us are good and 2 of us are evil. Unfortunately for you, I am one of the evil ones. Now what do you want before I kill you all?

Well, actually we have just been to see the Wizard of Oz and he told us that if kill you then he is going to grant us our wishes. so frustrating. I can’t scare anyone as I have got no courage!

Hah, hah, hah. That is so funny because in actual fact it is virtually impossible to kill me.

Quick everyone go and look for a bucket of water as I think if we throw it over her it might do the job.

She throws the bucket over the witch.

Ahh, you horrible people. You tricked me into telling you how to do it. Ahhh…

Wizard of Oz voice: I can help you all, but fi rst of all you need to kill the wicked witch of the west.

The witch sinks into the pool of water and dies. Just then the wizard’s voice is heard again.

Wizard of Oz voice: Well done everyone. You’ve done a great job. Now Scarecrow you now have brains, Tin Man you now have a heart, and Lion you now have a heart. As for you, Dorothy all you have to do is to tap your shoes together, make a wish to go home and you’ll go home.

Thanks a lot Wizard!

We made a great team and I am going to miss you all.

With that she taps her shoes together and fl oats back into the sky on her way home.
