Dumitru Marius PARACHIVESCU saw the light of life 68 years ago at Stoiceni, Nicolae Balcescu community, Valcea county on a day bearing a holy name - October 26 - St. Demetrius. His parents, Elena and Constantine, themselves bearing names of saints, were hardworking people and respected in the community. The child begins primary studies at the school in the village guided in reading, writing and arithmetic by "Mr. Iulica” his primary school teacher that is the today’s octogenarian Iulian Constantinescu, and to whom, his former pupil generously and respectfully facilitated the publication of the book of his life entitled "A Shrine Called Teacher’s Desk”.

As a teenager he moves together with his parents in Ramnicu Valcea, where he enrols to high school in one of the elite schools of the region - "Nicolae Bălcescu" High School, today "Lahovari" as it was its former name after its establishment. High school years are but the years that have marked him for life meaning the accumulation of a vast culture, following the example of his famous teachers: Traian

Dumitru Marius PARACHIVESCU a văzut lumina vieţii în urmă cu 68 de ani la Stoiceni, comuna Nicolae Bălcescu din judeţul Vâlcea într-o zi cu nume de sfânt – 26 octombrie – Sfântul Dumitru. Părinţii, Elena şi Constantin, ei înşişi cu nume de sfinţi, erau oameni gospodari şi respectaţi în comună. Copilul învaţă la şcoala din sat având ca îndrumător în ale citirii, scrierii şi aritmeticii pe „Domnul învăţător Iulică” adică octogenarul de astăzi Iulian Constantinescu căruia elevul său i-a înlesnit mai târziu cu generozitate şi veneraţie publicarea cărţii vieţii sale „Un altar numit catedră”. La vârsta adolescenţei Marius se mută cu părinţii la Râmnicu Vâlcea, unde va urma şi liceul la una din şcolile de elită ale regiunii – Liceul „Nicolae Bălcescu”, astăzi „Lahovari” după numele de la înfiinţare. Anii de liceu reprezintă una dintre perioadele care l-au marcat pentru toată viaţa prin acumularea unei vaste culturi, prin exemplul vestiţilor săi profesori de limba română (Traian CANTEMIR), matematică

By his selecting to the basketball national team of juniors he received a true sports education. Because of his life as a sportsman he did not finish high school among those registering the first positions, but he proved his solid education, seriousness and profound knowledge by entering college on the second position in range.

In the 1966-1971 periods he follows studies at the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza "University in Iasi, the Faculty of Economics, specializing in Accounting. He is appreciated as a student being rewarded because its results with the Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej Scholarship (at that time it valued a school teacher's salary). For four years he lived in Târguşor - Copou and Tudor Vladimirescu hostels. He shared his hostel room with today’s friends, Emil MIFTODE, Mihai IRIMIA, Ion IGNAT and Vasile MUNTEANU and from 1970, after marriage, with Viorica - his wife, a student in Chemistry. He graduates faculty as valedictorian and chooses at the national distribution to follow a university career at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iasi and not to have a job in Bucharest, or at the Romanian Foreign Trade Department. Within the framework of the faculty of Economic Sciences in Iasi he follows all the academic hierarchy levels until 1994 when he becomes professor. He becomes a PhD in Economics in 1984, under the guidance of the famous professor doctor lecturer Dumitru RUSU, a personality that marked decisively the future career of Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU as a teacher and researcher. In the report done in his quality as scientific supervisor of the Thesis entitled "The efficiency of accounting information in the management of the economic entity", professor doctor lecturer Dumitru RUSU remarks: "(...) I note with satisfaction that the PhD student has engaged in an effort to genuine scientific research subjecting careful consideration and passage through the filter of their own thinking the confrontations and issues in the literature on the concept of efficiency of accounting information in terms of economic and financial mechanisms. (...)

(Gheorghe VOINEA), istorie (Iulian CORNILESCU), cât şi prin formarea sa ca sportiv de performanţă. Prin selecţionarea în lotul naţional de baschet – juniori a beneficiat de o adevărată educaţie sportivă. Din cauza vieţii sportive nu a terminat liceul printre primii, dar şi-a dovedit profunzimea cunoştinţelor şi seriozitatea intrând al doilea la facultate. În perioada 1966-1971 urmează studiile la Universitatea „Al. I. Cuza” din Iaşi, Facultatea de Ştiinţe Economice, specializarea Contabilitate. Este apreciat ca student, fiind răsplătit datorită rezultatelor sale cu Bursa Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (la vremea aceea reprezenta un salariu de profesor de liceu!). Timp de patru ani locuieşte la căminele studenţeşti din Târguşorul Copou şi din Tudor Vladimirescu. I-au fost colegi de cameră prietenii de astăzi Emil MISTODE, Mihai IRIMIA, Ion IGNAT şi Vasile MUNTEANU, iar din 1970, după căsătorie, Viorica – soţia sa, studentă la Chimie. Termină facultatea ca şef de promoţie şi alege la repartiţia naţională nu Bucureştiul, nu Comerţul exterior, ci cariera universitară la Universitatea „Al. I. Cuza” din Iaşi. În cadrul facultăţii de Ştiinţe Economice din Iaşi parcurge toate treptele ierarhiei academice până în 1994 când devine profesor. Este doctor în economie în 1984, având drept mentor şi conducător de doctorat pe ilustrul Profesor doctor docent în ştiinţe Dumitru RUSU, personalitate care a marcat decisiv devenirea dascălului şi cercetătorului Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU. În referatul conducătorului ştiinţific asupra Tezei de doctorat cu tema „Eficienţa informaţiilor contabilităţi în conducerea unităţii economice”, Prof. dr. docent Dumitru RUSU remarca: „(...) Constat cu satisfacţie că doctorandul s-a angajat într-un efort de autentică cercetare ştiinţifică, supunând unei analize atente şi trecerii prin filtrul gândirii proprii confruntările şi problematica din literatura de specialitate asupra conceptului de eficienţă a informaţiilor contabilităţii în condiţiile mecanismelor economic-financiare. By researching the role and efficiency of accounting information in the evolution of human society, Mr. Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU theme highlights the importance of accounting as a science in the development and management of creative activities and movements generating value, taking into account the specific socio-economic conditions of each period. The accounting evolution is studied meticulously and there it is seized the improvements in the methods of calculation and the broadening of the preoccupation and awareness that occurred from one period to another. Through a beautifully building of ideas, the PhD student demonstrates then the objective need of improving the economic-accounting calculation, due to economic progress and mutations achieved in society. The tumultuous economic life requires the establishment of a rational system of values reflecting movements, capable of allowing measurement of results through the relationship between consuming and achievements. It is true that the science of accounting apprehended later the synthesizing of its functions in a theoretical work. To prove this the PhD candidate highlights the great contribution to the development and accounting calculation precision of the Italian scholar Luca PACIOLI “Summa de aritmetica, geometria, proportioni et proportionalita". Meritorious and interesting is the author’s incursion over the centuries that followed the emergence of Luca Pacioli's work. (...) It is to be appreciated the author's preoccupation to clarify the scientific fundamentals of accounting. The author has a position and a clear expression on an epistemological level of the science of accounting. It is a merit of the PhD student the way in which he noticed the difference between accounting as a science and the technical elements of accounting or its applied side in investigating the economic phenomena and processes. It is good the fact that Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU retained in his elaborations that science gives expression to truth by concepts. I appreciate the Romanian accounting traditions in thinking. Prin cercetarea rolului şi eficienţei informaţiilor contabilităţii în evoluţia societăţii umane, domnul Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU reliefează cu temei importanţa contabilităţii ca ştiinţă în dezvoltarea şi conducerea activităţilor creatoare şi generatoare de mişcări de valori, ţinând seama de condiţiile social-economice concrete ale fiecărei epoci. Evoluţia contabilităţii este studiată meticulos şi sunt sesizate perfecţionările în ce priveşte metodele de calcul şi lărgirea sferei de preocupare şi cuprindere ce au avut loc de la o perioadă la alta. Printr-o frumoasă construcţie de idei, doctorandul demonstrează apoi necesitatea obiectivă a perfecţionării calculului economico-contabil, datorită mutaţiilor şi progresului economic realizat în societate. În tumultuoasa viaţă economică se cere constituirea unui sistem raţional de reflectare a mişcărilor de valori, capabil să permită comensurarea rezultatelor prin stabilirea raportului între consumaţiuni şi realizări. Este adevărat că ştiinţa contabilităţii a aflat târziu sintetizarea funcţiunilor ei într-o lucrare teoretică. Pentru a dovedi acest fapt doctorandul evidenţiază marea însemnătate pentru dezvoltarea şi perfecţionarea calcului contabil a lucrării savantului italian Luca PACIOLO „Summa de aritmetica, geometria, proportioni et proportionalita”. Meritorie şi interesantă este incursiunea pe care autorul o face asupra secolelor ce au urmat apariţiei lucrării lui Luca PACIOLO.(...) Este de apreciat preocuparea autorului pentru a clarifica fundamentele ştiinţifice ale contabilităţii. Autorul are o poziţie şi o exprimare clară pe plan epistemologic privind ştiinţa contabilităţii. Este un merit al doctorandului, cum a sesizat diferenţa dintre ştiinţa propriu-zisă a contabilităţii şi elementele de tehnică sau partea ei aplicativă în investigarea fenomenelor şi proceselor economice. Este bine că Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU a reţinut în elaborările sale că ştiinţa dă expresie adevărului în concepte. Subliniez tradiţiile din gândirea contabilă românească. În lucrare se prezintă succint dar cu mult discernământ, în mod sistematic

I appreciate that, based on these studies, these great scholars continued the traditions loving their nation giving glamour to science and making our Romanian specific entering the universe of world culture on its own as a commendable goal. A special and careful attention and a remarkable scientific justification are given to the content and goals of the accounting information systems. The PhD student sustains and demonstrates that the guidance and regulation, consciously and constantly, and the realization in optimal conditions of the vast process of reproduction according to the social command, needs the assuring of a good functioning both of the financial-economic mechanism and of the accounting information system with which it combines.

The PhD student succeeds to demonstrate plenary and present some considerations upon the concept of efficiency of accounting information, the problematic of information efficiency need, as it can be seen after reading the paper, a foundation of the concept, of the methods of assessing the level of economic effects and of the resources necessary in obtaining these information. It claims elements of thinking, horizon and penetration in the newly homologated worldwide level. The efficiency in its complex understanding matures, finally, in the quality of the management activity, as it is well said by the PhD student. On the other coordinates, the paper addresses the link between the information provided by the balance sheet and its annexes and the requirements of economic and financial mechanism. It stresses the idea that managerial accounting serves the leading precise dimensions and constant adjustment of production and consumption, including the reflection of the degree of economic efficiency of various activities. (...) It is ingeniously and rigorously shown the relationship between computer science and accounting. The PhD student supports scientifically and states with arguments that in terms of automation, accounting information fully proves its efficiency in directing knowledge and creative activity. Aprecierea pe baza studiilor întreprinse, că aceşti mari învăţaţi, bărbaţi luminaţi iubitori de neam au continuat tradiţiile şi au dat strălucire ştiinţei şi au făcut ca specificul nostru românesc să intre în universul culturii mondiale pe poarta sa proprie este meritorie. De o tratare atentă şi o justificare ştiinţifică remarcabilă se bucură conţinutul şi sarcinile sistemului informaţional contabil. Doctorandul susţine şi demonstrează că dirijarea şi reglarea în mod conştient şi constant, precum şi realizarea, în condiţii optime a amplului proces al reproducţiei în concordanţă cu comanda socială, necesită asigurarea unei funcţionalităţi optime atât a mecanismului economico-financiar cât şi a sistemului informaţional-contabil cu care se întrepătrunde. Doctorandul reuşeşte să demonstreze plenar şi să prezinte unele consideraţii asupra conceptului de eficienţă a informaţiilor contabilităţii, problematica eficienţei informaţiilor contabilităţii solicită, după cum se poate constata din lectura lucrării, o fundamentare a conceptului, a metodelor de evaluare a nivelului efectelor economice precum şi a resurselor şi modalităţilor necesare obţinerii acestor informaţii. Ea reclamă elemente de gândire, orizont şi pătrundere în noul omologat pe plan mondial. Eficienţa în înţelesul ei complex se maturizează, în cele din urmă, în calitatea activităţii de conducere, aşa cum bine se exprimă doctorandul. Pe alte coordonate, lucrarea abordează legătura dintre informaţiile furnizate de bilanţ şi anexele sale şi cerinţele mecanismului economico-financiar. Se subliniază ideea potrivit căreia contabilitatea serveşte conducerii precise şi reglării constante a dimensiunilor producţiei şi consumului, inclusiv reflectarea gradului de eficienţă economică a diferitelor activităţi. (...) Este ingenios şi cu multă rigoare prezentată relaţia între informatică şi contabilitate. 1984) Since 2000, Professor Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU becomes himself a PhD supervisor at the Academy of Economic Studies, specialization Managerial Accounting. The teaching and research activity of the professor PARASCHIVESCU has experienced two thriving periods. The first period was between 1971- 1994, at the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza " University where he formed himself as a professor and researcher in the Department of Accounting, Managerial Informatics and Economic Analysis, alongside the great names in the Romanian accounting field having professor Dumitru RUSU head of the list. The special work climate and collegiality were favourable in all these years, bringing wealth into the soul and lasting friendships. He respected his co-chair colleagues and in turns he was respected. He made his contribution to the formation of numerous specialists in accounting and finance field. He is often proud that among his students there have been: Dumitru OPREA - today a professor and former Rector of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University, Ana GRAMA and Dinu AIRINEI, Gabriela Constantin TOMA, Costel ISTRATE, Luca IAMANDI, Neculai LUPU, Mihai DEJU - today professors, superintendent Traian JIPA, Daniela BURLACU, Nicoleta GRĂJDEANU, Nelu TAPALAGĂ, Ștefan SÂMOTIN, Cesar GOTCU, Octavian COZLOSCHI - today, bank managers, Aron POPA - President of the National Audit Authority, Gheorghe POPESCU - President of the National Environmental Fund and a lot many others.

The second period is that after 1994, an engagement one and outreach for the creation of the Faculty of Accounting and Managerial Informatics and for founding one of the first private universities in the country – the "George Bacovia" University in Bacau. His outstanding contribution to the development of private higher education, by the authorization, accreditation, construction and affirmation of the “George Bacovia” University during his Rector position has been recognized by awarding him the title of Honorary Citizen of the city of Bacau in 2000, of the Integral Applied Studies Diploma at the Eureka International Exhibition - 2000 Brussels, of the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of

Din anul 2000, profesorul Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU devine el însuşi conducător de doctorat în cadrul Academiei de Studii Economice din Bucureşti pentru specializarea Contabilitate managerială. Activitatea didactică şi de cercetare a profesorului PARASCHIVESCU a cunoscut două perioade înfloritoare. Prima 1971- 1994, la Universitatea „Al. I. Cuza” unde s-a format ca profesor şi cercetător în cadrul Catedrei de Contabilitate, Informatică de gestiune şi Analiză economică, alături de nume grele ale contabilităţii româneşti în frunte cu profesorul Dumitru RUSU. Climatul deosebit de muncă şi de colegialitate a fost în toţi aceşti ani favorabil, aducând bogăţie în suflet şi prietenii de durată. A respectat colegii de catedră şi a fost la rândul lui respectat. A contribuit la formarea a numeroşi specialişti în domeniul contabilităţii şi finanţelor. Este adesea mândru că printre studenţii lui de atunci s-au aflat Dumitru OPREA – astăzi profesor universitar, fost Rector al Universităţii „Al.I.Cuza”, Ana GRAMA şi Dinu AIRINEI, Gabriela MEŞNIŢĂ, Constantin TOMA, Costel ISTRATE, Luca IAMANDI, Neculai LUPU, Mihai DEJU – astăzi profesori universitari, chestorul Traian JIPA, Daniela BURLACU, Nicoleta GRĂJDEANU, Nelu TAPALAGĂ, Ştefan SÂMBOTIN, Cezar GOTCU, Octavian COZLOSCHI, – astăzi directori de bănci, Aron POPA - Preşedintele Autorităţii Naţionale de Audit, Gheorghe POPESCU – Preşedintele Fondului Naţional de Mediu şi mulţi, mulţi alţii. A doua perioadă este aceea de după 1994, de implicare şi mobilizare la crearea Facultăţii de Contabilitate şi Informatică de Gestiune şi de ctitorire a uneia dintre primele universităţi particulare din ţară – Universitatea „George Bacovia” din Bacău. Contribuţia sa remarcabilă la dezvoltarea învăţământului superior particular, la autorizarea, acreditarea, construirea şi afirmarea Universităţii George Bacovia în perioada cât a condus ca Rector destinele acestei universităţi a fost recunoscută prin acordarea Titlului de Cetăţean de Onoare al municipiului Bacău în anul 2000, a Diplomei Integral Applied Studies la Salonul Internaţional Eureka - 2000 de la

the University of Applied Sciences in Chisinau, of the Diploma of Excellence of Bacau County Council and of other Awards of Excellence.

All these were due to his exceptional quality to work with people, to attract them and cause them to struggle with time. He urged the coming to Bacau from the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University in Iasi of the professors: Toader GHERASIM, Willi PĂVĂLOAIA, Ioan BELEI, Constantin COJOCARU, Andreia-Simona MELNIC, and from the Technical University - Viorica PARASCHIVESCU, from the "Vasile Alecsandri" University in Bacau - Ștefan MUNTEANU. These people, together with Professor Dumitru BONTAȘ, provoked the "battle" for the authorization and institutional accreditation of the "George Bacovia" University.

Professor Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU has the undeniable merit of forming, as a Rector, with the "experienced" and with his young team mates, a golden team, achieving, with many sacrifices and accountability, success after success. The transformations after 1994 have demanded to the staff of the "George Bacovia" University special efforts to implement the curricular reform, to attract a greater number of teachers and students. Essentially changes of the curricula, of the concepts and work techniques, the valorisation of the fruitful experience of the economic school founders of the “George Bacovia” University, encouraging and supporting the promotion of higher teaching position of all team members were the basic arguments for the management of the young higher education institution. The year 2002 is the year of fame of the Golden Team: the accreditation by Law 237/2002 of the "George Bacovia" University and the inauguration of the new building in the centre of Bacau city. It is noteworthy that the very Law of establishing the University confirms by Art. 2 the existence of the first accredited faculty: the Faculty of Accounting and Managerial Informatics. This faculty will remain in the history of economic education the first accounting faculty in Bacau, a product of the school of accounting in Iasi.

A special merit due to the exceptional ease of communication, had professor Dumitru Marius

Bruxelles, a Titlului de Doctor Honoris Causa a Universităţii de Ştiinţe Aplicate din Chişinău, a Diplomei de excelenţă a Consiliului Judeţean Bacău precum şi a altor Diplome de excelenţă. Toate acestea s-au datorat calităţii sale excepţionale de a lucra cu oamenii, de a-i atrage şi de a-i provoca la lupta cu timpul. La îndemnul lui au venit la Bacău, de la Universitatea „Cuza” din Iaşi, profesorii universitari Toader GHERASIM, Willi PĂVĂLOAIA, Ioan BELEI, Constantin COJOCARU şi Andreia-Simona MELNIC, de la Universitatea Tehnică – Viorica PARASCHIVESCU, iar de la Universitatea „Vasile Alecsandri” din Bacău – Ştefan MUNTEANU. Aceştia, împreună cu profesorul universitar Dumitru BONTAŞ, au declanşat marea „bătălie” pentru autorizarea şi acreditarea instituţională a Universităţii „George Bacovia”. Profesorul Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU are meritul incontestabil de a fi format, în calitate de Rector, împreună cu „greii” dar şi cu mai tinerii săi colegi Echipa de aur, echipă care cu multe sacrificii şi prin asumarea răspunderii a obţinut succes după succes. Transformările de după 1994 au cerut colectivului de la Universitatea „George Bacovia” un efort deosebit pentru reforma curriculară, pentru atragerea unui număr mai mare de profesori şi studenţi. Schimbarea de esenţă a planurilor de învăţământ, a concepţiilor şi tehnicilor de lucru, fructificarea experienţei fondatorilor şcolii economice bacoviene, încurajarea şi susţinerea promovării pe funcţii didactice superioare tuturor membrilor echipei au fost argumentele de bază ale managementului tinerei instituţii.

Anul 2002 este anul de glorie al Echipei de aur: acreditarea prin Legea 237/2002 a Universităţii”George Bacovia” şi inaugurarea noului sediu din centrul Bacăului. Este de remarcat că însăşi Legea de înfiinţare a Universităţii consfinţeşte la Art.2 şi existenţa primei facultăţi acreditate: Facultatea de Contabilitate şi Informatică de Gestiune. Această facultate va rămâne în istoria învăţământului economic prima facultate de contabilitate din Bacău, produs al şcolii ieşene de contabilitate. Un merit deosebit, datorat excepţionalei uşurinţe de comunicare, l-a avut profesorul universitar

PARASCHIVESCU PhD by representing the "George Bacovia" University in relations with state institutions, Parliament, Government, Ministries, Romanian Academy, other universities in the country and abroad, cultural, scientific, political or cults personalities. Economic culture, the grace of teaching and the managerial qualities made him known and appreciated.

In over 42 years of academic career he was the holder of disciplines: Programming languages and databases (when teaching in Iasi for this subject he was assisted by Dumitru OPREA and Ana GRAMA), Financial Accounting and Principles of Accounting (junior-assistants in Iasi Constantin TOMA and Costel ISTRATE, Radu FLOREA and Florin RADU in Bacau). The teaching and scientific activity had the relevance expected from a good professor. Alone or in collaboration, he kneaded accounting on all sides, the ruddy and attractive "baking" being the 38 books, textbooks and monographs, five scientific papers published in ISI journals, 18 articles published in BDI journals, included in international databases, 43 articles published in volumes of national and international conferences, published 20 articles in journals economic consultancy. Over time he represented the Romanian school of accounting in over 100 studies, applied researches, reviews and articles published in Romania and abroad. He is a member of several groups of scientific journals and publishing houses. As PhD supervisor, scientific reviewer of some thesis or textbooks or papers or supervisor of graduation papers or dissertation, Professor PARASCHIVESCU was and is a demanding man, cooperative and respected for his elevated scientific standard for the power and logic of his arguments, for his vocabulary and tone. He received numerous honours and awards, among which: Doctor Honoris Causa of The Trade-Cooperative University of Modova in Chisinau, 2016; Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Applied Sciences in Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova, 2006; The Order "Knight of Grace" - Malta, St. John of Jerusalem, Brussels, 2000; Diploma of Excellence - International Salon of Inventions and Research,

doctor Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU prin reprezentarea Universităţii „George Bacovia” în relaţiile cu instituţiile statului, Parlament, Guvern, Ministere, Academia Română, cu alte universităţi din ţară şi străinătate, cu personalităţi ale vieţii culturale, ştiinţifice, politice sau din domeniul cultelor. Cultura economică, harul didactic şi calităţile manageriale l-au făcut cunoscut şi apreciat. În cei peste 42 de ani de carieră universitară a fost titularul disciplinelor de: Limbaje de programare şi bănci de date (disciplină la care i-a avut ca asistenţi la Iaşi pe Dumitru OPREA şi Ana GRAMA), Contabilitate financiară şi Bazele contabilităţii (asistenţi la Iaşi Constantin TOMA şi Costel ISTRATE, Radu FLOREA şi Florin RADU la Bacău). Activitatea didactică şi ştiinţifică a avut relevanţa aşteptată de la un bun profesor universitar. Singur sau în colaborare a frământat contabilitatea pe toate feţele, „coptura” rumenă şi atrăgătoare fiind cele 38 de cărţi, manuale universitare sau monografii, 5 lucrări științifice publicate în reviste de specialitate cotate ISI, 18 articole publicate în reviste incluse în baze de date internaționale (BDI), 43 de artcole publicate în volumele unor conferințe naționale și internaționale, 20 de articole publicate în reviste de consultanță economică. De-a lungul timpului a reprezentat şcoala românească de contabilitate în peste 100 de studii, cercetări aplicative, recenzii şi articolele publicate în ţară şi în străinătate. Este membru al unor colective ştiinţifice ale unor reviste de specialitate şi edituri. Ca şi conducător de doctorat, referent ştiinţific al unor teze de doctorat sau manuale universitare ori lucrări ştiinţifice sau îndrumător de lucrări de licenţă ori disertaţie, profesorul PARASCHIVESCU a fost şi este un om exigent, cooperant şi respectat pentru elevata ţinută ştiinţifică, pentru forţa şi logica argumentelor, pentru vocabularul şi tonul folosit. A obținut numeroase titluri și distincții, dintre care amintim: Doctor Honoris Causa al Universităţii Cooperatist-Comerciale din Chişinău, Republica Moldova, 2016; Doctor Honoris Causa al Universităţii de Ştiinţe Aplicate din Chişinău, Republica Moldova, 2006; Ordinul „Knight of Grace” – Malta, Sf. He remains in their soul because of his force to transmit generously not only the mysteries of accounting science but also life lessons and a winning attitude. His contribution to the formation of a representative staff of researchers in the field of accounting at the “George Bacovia” University in Bacau (the institution celebrated 24 years of existence) actually means, the enhancement and the continuing of success and respect towards the school of accounting in Iasi, created by Professor Doctor Lecturer Dumitru RUSU. Time cannot evade the most important qualities that people recognize in him, that of a witness of the past and present facts. The value of time is given by people. Professor Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU along with other colleagues gave value to time and to the accounting school in Iasi.

Contribuţia domniei sale la formarea în cadrul unei universităţi tinere (a împlinit de curând 24 de ani!) a unui colectiv reprezentativ de cercetători în domeniul contabilităţii înseamnă, de fapt, punerea în valoare şi continuarea succesului şi respectului şcolii ieşene de contabilitate creată de Prof. univ. dr. docent Dumitru RUSU. Timpul nu se poate sustrage celei mai importante calităţi pe care i-o recunosc oamenii, aceea de martor al faptelor trecute şi prezente. Valoarea timpului o dau oamenii. Profesorul universitar Dumitru Marius PARASCHIVESCU alături de alţi colegi a dat valoare timpului şi şcolii ieşene de contabilitate.

The Senate of the Trade-Cooperative University of Moldova, gathered in the assembly of the 17th of October 2016, awarded the honour title of Doctor Honoris Causa to the eminent professor and man of science, Dumitru Marius Paraschivescu. Consequently, the solemn ceremony of awarding the high title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Mr. Dumitru Marius Paraschivescu, professor PhD at the “George Bacovia” University in Bacau (Romania), took place on Wednesday the 19th of October, 2016 at the Trade-Cooperative University of Moldova. The ceremony of awarding the high title was conducted by the Rector of the University, habilitated doctor Larisa Savga, assisted by the members of the Senate and other honoured guests such as Doctor Honoris Causa of the „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iasi, correspondent member of the Sciences Academy of the Republic of Moldova, the academician-coordinator Aurelian Gulea, the head department of the State University of Moldova, Valeriu Rudic, the director of the Microbiology Biotechnology Institute of the Moldova Sciences Academy, the academician Ion Toderaş, the director of the Zoology Institute of the Moldova Sciences Academy, habilitated doctor Alexandru Nederiţa from the Moldova Economic Sciences Academy, professors and students from the Trade-Cooperative University of Moldova, disciples of Mr. Dumitru Marius Paraschivescu.

Senatul Universităţii Cooperatist-Comerciale din Moldova, în şedinţa din 17 octombrie 2016, a conferit titlul onorific de Doctor Honoris Causa eminentului profesor şi om de ştiinţă, Dumitru Marius Paraschivescu. Drept urmare, miercuri, 19 octombrie 2016, la Universitatea Cooperatist-Comercială din Moldova, a avut loc ceremonia solemnă de conferire a înaltului titlu de Doctor Honoris Causa domnului Dumitru Marius Paraschivescu, prof. univ., dr., Universitatea „George Bacovia” din Bacău (România). La ceremonia de conferire a înaltului titlu, prezidată de Rectorul Universităţii, prof. univ., dr. hab.
