Become a Better Snowboarder
Introduction As a trial lawyer at Stinson Law Group, Laurence

career, he enjoys multiple hobbies including
snowboarding.
Becoming a better snowboarder is possible by
following a few tips. Maintaining a straight-leg stance
while snowboarding is not workable. In fact, it can be
dangerous and lead to loss of control and injury. A
bent-leg stance is crucial because it will lower your
center of gravity. A lower center of gravity helps you
have more control to absorb bumps in the terrain.
Snowboarding Olympic silver medalist Gretchen Bleiler
encourages snowboarders to act as if they are sitting down on a chair; that’s how much one snowboarder thinks your knees should be bent.
By becoming more familiar with how your board and how your edge works and by practicing edge control a rider will improve your performance and control your speed more effectively. Edge control improves as speed increases. Remember to remain in the center of the board and to use your knees and hips to help the edges drive into the snow. Board on!
