How do I Clean my BBQ
A BBQ oven needs cleaning for at least 1-2 times a year. Most of us also
clean it down before and after use. But time and again you should give it
a thorough rub down. Cleaning the BBQ oven after a good BBQ party
can be daunting. Here are a few steps for an easy cleaning.
Turn off all the ovens and remove the propane tank before you
start cleaning.
Remove the grates and soak them in a buck of water and dishwash
liquid.
Now remove the burner protectors and put them similarly into the
soapy liquid. Clean them and put them to dry.
Put some aluminum foil on top of the heating elements and with a
brush give the inside of the hood a good rub.
Scrub the inside walls as well.
Remove the drip pan and tip the residues on a dustbin and put it
back in the bucket.
Take the grate, metal plates and drip pan out of the liquid and scrub
them with BBQ Cleaning Brush and scrubber.
Wipe the burners with damp sponge.
You will find the plates underneath the burners are quite filthy.
Remove the gunk from it by brushing and scrubbing as required.
Clean the bottom tray.
Wipe the exterior of the oven with a piece of cloth.
When you have finished cleaning, reconnect the propane tank to
the BBQ oven.
To maintain your BBQ oven in good condition clean it on a regular
basis. There are varieties of chemical cleaners available in the market.
But it is better to avoid them. These not only damages the aluminum
grill but also leave harmful residues that get mingled with the food and
affect taste. By following the above steps you can clean your BBQ grill
easily and without suffering from the harmful fumes from chemical
cleaners.
