There was just few random curve line in these two works, I made use of the elements to complete the pictures. I tried to use just black and white on this work, in order to make the sense of contrast of light and shadow.

This is the second one. This time, I made the lines a dinosaur, a di-nosaur of colourful body. In this assignment, it cultivated me to as-sociate from a abstract things and made my creativity practice.

Point is the simplest element in development of form. I used kinds of points to this assignment to represent the ever-changing universe.

The victor was formed with many lines that are vari-ous in direction and curve. These lines represented the boundary of success. It was just the moment the man broke through the limitation then got the goal in the end.

Tower of Knowledge

Humans keep thirsting for knowl-edge since ancient times, and we often have a desire that we are able to using our knowledge to surpass the whole world, the nature includ-ed. Ancient people in Bible built material tower babel to challenge to God. However people nowadays still want to challenge to God. We misuse our knowledge to do such these things, thought, we usually assume the we are right.

Diamond Vision

Diamond shape represents the elegant and noble feel-ing, as well as the shape composed from it. The flow-er-shape geometric patterns are a important memory in my childhood. Because it is very the dicoration pattern on my bed’s mosquito net. Then I would like to find this piece of memory again.

The shape of the dorm I live in NCKU is very interesting. It is the “人” shape in Chinese character which means “people.” And the appearance of ghosts sometimes happens around the dorm area; Chinese believe that male spirits (Yang) could overcome the ghosts. However I have another method. I used “planes" to build the third, the fourth building to provide the ghost to live in.

The Day was Dawning

To practice mathematical sequences and golden ratio to a work can make the feeling of harmo-ny, balance and beauty well-founded and dynamic.

Texture

Page 36: Basic Design 1 Portfolio

34

Texture is an appearance attri-bute that is related to every ob-ject. It is important that design-ers not only form a well-seeming figure but choose the right ma-terial or texture to fit their works or products.

The spiral tower made of more than 130 piec-es white cardboard gives viewers a sense of inter-est, and they may want to rotate it agin and again.

When the days are coldAnd the cards all foldAnd the saints we seeAre all made of gold

When your dreams all failAnd the ones we hailAre the worst of allAnd the blood’s run stale

I wanna hide the truthI wanna shelter youBut with the beast insideThere’s nowhere we can hide

No matter what we breedWe still are made of greedThis is my kingdom come

When you feel my heatLook into my eyesIt’s where my demons hide

Don’t get too closeIt’s dark insideIt’s where my demons hide

(The paragraph is quoted from the song “Demons” by Imagine Dragon)

Acrylic stick is a kind of amazing material. As long as you place a light bulb round it, you’ll find there is a ultra bright dot at the end of the acrylic stick. Using this characteristic, I finished this assignment.

Plane is a good way to per-form a three-dimension ob-ject. Everyone can feel free to convey their ideas via us-ing 2D planes to complete 3D objects.
