The Bananas Barbershop logo is the primary visual source of identification for the barbershop. In order to convey a consistent message and raise a strong brand awareness for our customers, the logo must never be recreated, manipulated, or distorted under any circumstance.

The Bananas Barbershop logo consist of three key elements; logo, letterform, and the descriptor. Bananas Barbershop is the letterform and the descriptor therefore, always appearing together.

The Logo is created in representation of Banana’s Barbershop and the services that they provide. The logo can in fact stand alone without the letterform/descriptor.

LETTERFORM & DESCRIPTOR

The letterform was created to represent a description for the logo that describes a banana and a razor to represent a barbershop.

The letterform and the descriptor is set in Arno Pro Semibold Caption and defines Bananas Barbershop as a Barbershop. In instances where size is limited, the letterform/descriptor can stand alone.

Arno Pro

Arno is a type family created by Robert Slimbach at Adobe. �e name refers to the river that runs through Florence, the centre of the Italian Renaissance. �e typeface draws its inspiration from 15th and 16th century early humanistic typefaces and is designed in the tradition of early book types such as Venetian and Aldine. �e retail Arno Pro family consists of 3 (4 for Display fonts) weights in roman and italic, 5 optical sizes. Each font supports Adobe CE, Adobe Western 2, Cyrillic, mono- and polytonic Greek, Latin Extended, Vietnamese, dingbats character sets. Supported OpenType features include titling capitals, stylistic alternates, ligatures, proportional numbers, old style �gures, small caps, subscripts and superscripts, ordinals, and swashes.

LOGO SIZE & ISOLATION AREA

For maximum impact and instant recognition, the logo, letterform/descriptor should not be crowded by other visual elements. Sufficient white space should be left on all sides so that its prominence is not compromised. This visual illustration is a guide for providing the necessary white space for our logo.

ISOLATION AREA

The area is based on the size of type of the letterform; the letter a within the circle demonstrates the isolation area. The letter a is equal to 0.75in., 19.05mm, 4.5 pica, 0.75px. Isolation area above the logo is also based on the size of the letterform type.

LOGO SIZE

The size of the logo is measured across the width of the symbol and its width is based on adding height with the letter a within the circle from letterform. The default height of the letterform is 1.25”. The width of the logo at this height is 9”. To maintain the structure of the logo, the width should always be sized in relationship to the height.

To ensure the best definition of the identity in reproduction, it should not be reproduced smaller than the minimum size height which is 0.25.” Original Artwork should always be used.
