From our beginnings 50 years ago as a small, local company we have become the premiere ballet company of the Intermountain Region and a leading cultural ambassador of Utah and the United States. We have created half a century of marvelous memories, and together we can only imagine the wonder of milestones yet to come. Assembled is a superb lineup of productions where athleticism, artistry, drama, and excitement combine to deliver spectacular performances.

Join us as we reach even loftier heights in artistic expression and entertainment, embark on a world of new adventures, and experience the joys which await us as the curtain rises on the next fifty years.

A dazzling triple bill that has something for everyone.

The program begins with George Balanchine's joyous Square Dance, replete with breathtaking speed and precision from the dancers, the Baroque strains of Vivaldi and Corelli's music, and the whimsical humor of a live dance caller. Next, the fierce and dynamic revival of William Forsythe's brilliantly innovative masterpiece In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated is sure to please. The program culminates with the Utah premiere of resident choreographer Nicolo Fonte's sensual and powerful Almost Tango, specially re-choreographed for Ballet West.

Together we can make a difference

Did you know that Ballet West and its programs extend far beyond our performances?

Each year our community outreach program reaches over 100,000 Utah school children, teachers, and special needs individuals.

We take great pride in serving our community at large. Only about 37% of the cost of producing a ballet is covered by ticket sales. It is only through the generosity of contributions that we can sustain the existence of Ballet West in the near-term and into the future.

Please call 801·869·6934 to learn more and consider a donation today.

Our new HomeThe new Jessie Eccles Quinney Ballet Centre, will overlap with the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre structure. It will quadruple the capacity for training and rehearsal.
