Star Student• Each student will be featured as the “Star Student” for a

week.• I will send a packet home the week before it is your child’s

turn to be star student.• Your child can complete the packet independently or with

help from the family.• I encourage the children to decorate the packet with

pictures, drawings, etc.• In the packet, there will be a page for you to write a note to

your child explaining why they are a star to you. I will read this note to the class; please send it in with the completed packet on the Monday following the week it was sent home.

Birthdays• If you would like to send in treats for birthdays

please keep in mind the risk of allergies.– Store bought treats only (Dunkin Donuts treats are

acceptable)– Must contain a label with the ingredients– The first ingredient cannot be sugar.– Please do not send whole cakes. Pre-cut and individual

pieces are much easier to pass out to the children.– I will be in touch with parents of children who have

summer birthdays so that we can set something up for those children.

stores.
