    Classic Sendak. He has a way of capturing the horrid behav-ior of kids, with equally horrible consequences.

    Born Yesterday: The Diary of A Young Journalist

    by Solheim, James. If your baby could blog, this would be it.

    Petes A Pizza by Steig, William. Pizza take-out is per-

    fectly okay! Bring the book to life and turn your child into a delicious pizza after you read it!

    The Princess and the Packet of Frozen Peas

    by Wilson, Tony. Not every princess needs to be posh! Wil-son takes a classic and flips it for fun.

    The Geezer in the Freezer by Wright, Randall. The

    title. Need we say more?

    book for explaining why youre so tired, and dads always on the couch.

    Bedhead by Palatini, Margie. Weve all had days like this,

    unless youre bald, then this explains a lot as well. (A seri-ous read-aloud challenge)

    Smelly Bill by Postgate, Daniel. Its totally okay to skip

    giving that bath once in a while. It all works out for the stinky ones.

    The Pirate Cruncher by Duddle, Jonny. Pirates are

    cool and so are parents who read with pirate voices! A per-fect book to start working on your scowl Arrrh.
