Proper operation of your B3:Loading the gun:

Grasp the cocking lever and pull it downward until it stops and latches. Maintain control of this lever even after it has latched.

While holding the cocking lever, load the pellet into the barrel. Never load a pellet without holding this cocking lever! If the trigger was to release the chamber could run forward resulting in severe injury to your fingers.

Once the pellet is loaded, return the lever to the closed position by pushing it forward from behind. Do not allow your hand to come between the lever and the barrel at any point.

Notice that the trigger finger is NEVER near the trigger during the loading process. Your finger should not be near the trigger until it is time to fire the gun.

Basic rules for safe operation:

• Never load the gun until you are ready to use it. Do not carry a loaded gun. • Never touch the trigger until you are ready to fire. • Always be sure of your backstop. Pellets are capable of causing injury beyond 200 yards. • Avoid sharp blows to the gun while it is loaded. • Always keep the barrel pointed in a safe direction. • Always maintain control of the cocking lever when the chamber is open. • Never dry fire your airgun. Do not fire the gun without a pellet loaded. Damage will occur. • Never use pellets weighing less than 7.5 grains. Damage can occur. • This airgun is NOT SUITABLE FOR MINORS.

Proper care of your B3:

• Never leave your rifle outside or unprotected for long periods of time. • Remove finger prints from the metal surfaces after each use. A cloth moistened with oil works well. • Remove finger prints from bedlined stocks after each use. A cloth moistened with "Pledge" works

well. Allow to dry before airgun use.• Never dry fire your airgun. Do not fire the gun without a pellet loaded. Damage will occur. • Clean the barrel once every 2,000 shots or after treating the leather piston seal.

• Use nylon "trimmer" string with a cloth patch tied to the end to clean the bore. Moisten the patch with "Goof Off" cleaner.

• Repeat with as many times as needed with as many patches as need until the patch comes out clean. Then follow with clean, dry patches.

• Allow to air dry for atleast 15 minutes before shooting. • Add 2-3 small drops of 30wt motor oil to the leather piston seal every 2,000 shots or prior to storing

the gun for long periods. • Lean the unloaded rifle against a steady surface with the barrel pointed up. • Place 2 small drops of 30wt motor oil down the barrel and allow to sit overnight. It is normal

for the following shots to produce smoke. • This will clear up as you shoot the gun.
