1) Plant Trees........

There are three focus areas with planting trees:The establishment of fruit tree orchards to provide

fuel-wood and food.Planting trees in previously disadvantaged areas

where shacks were replaced with RDP homes.

Plant trees in public spaces where local City Councilsdo not have the funds to do so.

2) Create job opportunities and sustainableincome

Women's groups will be formed to develop smallenterprises marketing tree products back to our organisation at current market prices. This willrange from organic compost, vegetable seedlings

and trees. An amazing way for generatingincome to help provide essentials for their

families such as healthcare, education, food andclothing.

layout, advise and payment of locals to levelgrounds, installation of the sprinkler systemand laying of the grass. In conclusion, we will

train people to maintain these sports fields

4) TRAINING

Our aim is to create champions in allareas. We want to do training and supply

equipment to unemployed woman and schools to

set up growth tunnels and nurseries for raisingover 250,000 seedlings per annum, which in turn can create self sustainability and create

and income for schools. This program can also be

used for feeding programmes in the school

Our current projects:

With the school term starting in 2011 , we would like tohas 600 ² 1000mm trees to the grade one·rs, this is asymbolic happening which will mean we will have a

success rate of 68% of growing trees. Parents and kidsalike will remember this as the first step to a great

future. We will supply an information LEAF to explainwhat to do and how to look after the tree. ² in a years

time we will go back and will offer a bursary to the valueof one year to the 5 top kids in the school who·s three

grew the highest. The school will also receive a number of  trees (ratio of 1:10) and the school with the best grown trees a year later will receive electronic equipment to the

retail value of R15 000-00

Our current projects (continued)

B(e)leaF(ve) is currently sourcing a farm, on leasehold from a Local City Council, our aim is to employ woman, grow trees, create an education centre and start with theschool seedling project. This is obviously a very expensive project and most documentaries and effort will go into

this project.... In the mean time we will source all our trees from a supplier in Wellington (Paarl) that is growing

them especially for us. Our aim is to have our own 20 000 trees growing on the farm in the second quarter of 2011.

B(e)leaF(ve) is working on a concept to recycle newspaper, compost and a seedling formed in the form of a leaf to be

given to schools all over the Western Cape ² these

seedlings will be allocated according to the tree best suited for the specific area, climate, soil and wind conditions. The seedling will be accompanied by a information sheet

and a small bag of recycled fertilizer.
