Unlike most evangelists, Cornell is known for his creative messages, unique illustrations, and infectious personality. A true “discipleship nut,” he’s driven to see to it that this generation understands the importance of a strong foundation of faith in Christ Jesus. Over the course of his ministry, he has seen people from various races, cultures, economic backgrounds, and denominations come to see Jesus Christ in fresh new ways. You will get a chance to experience his passionate, practical & positively challenging speaking at a Saturday night and Sunday morning service this weekend at Avalanche.

NEXT VALLEY WORSHIP BANDThe band was birthed two years ago out of Next Valley Youth Movement. It is worship for a new generation, with an edgy sound and a passionate soul. Led by Stephanie DeChant Garasic, and backed by incredibly talented upcoming musicians -- Next Valley’s own students -- the band is set to release their first worship

album, a four-song EP, in early 2010. You will hear the band in raw acoustic form at two services during Avalanche.

What to Expect• Tubing (inner tubes provided), Ice Skating

(bring your own skates or rent at your own additional cost), and Swimming.

• Acoustic Worship, Prize Giveaways, and Guest Speaker Cornell Jordan.

• Every year we do a “midnight” run where we tube down hills in the dark. Very cool.

• Bring your snow clothes, swimsuit, towel, and be ready to have the time of your life!

I realize that Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church intends to take reasonable precautions against accidents; nevertheless, I agree to release and hold harmless Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church, its staff, agents, volunteers and officers, with respect to injuries, claims, damages or demands which may arise out of any accidents which might occur during this outing. This release includes damage or destruction of the participant’s clothing and personal belongings.
