Autopost to Facebook Groups

For a long time I was against using any software to autopost to Facebook Groups. Mythinking – if everybody’s using an autoposter program, who actually goes to the groups tosee the ads?

And in some of those groups, the ones that aren’t monitored very well, all you see are thesame ads being spammed to the group over and over and over.

Well, I started using a cool program this week to autopost to Facebook groups too. Butinstead of joining every single group in my niche, I decided to still be a little ethical about it.

Some marketers will show you how to find the groups and then one after the other after theother just click on Join. They don’t tell you to actually visit the group first!

And then load your autopost message into your software and go to town. Wrong.

If you’re going to post to any groups automatically, you need to do acouple of things first.

1. Visit the group. Read their rules. Some groups have rules specifically stating that anyautoposts will be removed immediately and the violator will be banned from the grouppermanently.

Some groups have rules that you can only post to the group’s wall once every 24 hours. Andif you’re caught posting more than once, you’ll be banned from the group.

So here is the best way to use an autopost programwithout violating any rules.

Personally visit the group. Actually go on the group, read the rules, browse through the adsand manually click on Join the group.

2. Set up your autopost program to only post once per day. Period. Ethical online

marketers do not spam.

3. Leave the Notifications setting On. Why? You want to interact with anyone who likesyour post or leaves a comment.

4. At least once a week, revisit the groups and like a few posts.

5. Set up a second post in your autopost program but don’t use any links. Post aninteresting thought, an infographic or even a video. This will also help show you’re not aspammer.

So by following some of these tips, you actually can autopost to Facebook groups withoutspamming and still maintaining some level of interaction, even if it’s sporadic.

Also – If you post manually – Don’t Hijack Other People’s Posts!

One of my pet peeves is when marketers post their ads under someone else’s ad instead ofcreating their own posts for their ads.

It’s not only annoying, it’s unethical and goes against the rules that a lot of Facebook groupmoderators have set in place.

If you’re going to use Facebook groups to promote your business, do it ethically or don’t do itat all. Period.
