Liebe Seglerinnen und Segler,

es ist wieder so weit: vom 2. bis zum 10. Juli 2011 blickt die internationale Seglerwelt gespannt nach Rostock /Warnemünde, wenn dort über 2.000 Seglerinnen undSegler aus 30 Nationen bei der 74. WARNEMÜNDER WOCHEan den Start gehen!

Wie bei kaum einem anderen Segelevent in Deutschland treffen bei der WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE hochkarätiger Sportund fröhliches Volksfest, Innovation auf dem Wasser und Tradition an Land in nächster Nähe aufeinander. Das wissen Sportler und Besucher gleichermaßen zu schätzen – nicht umsonst hat die WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE seit vielen Jahren einen festen Platz in Regatta- und Erlebniskalendern.

2011 lockt die WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE mit neuen Höhepunkten: So gehen mit der Skippi 650, der Einhandjolle Devoti-One, der 2.4mR und der Traditionsklasse Ixylon gleich vier neue Klassenan den Start. Mit dem „Warnemünde-Cup“ steht erstmals eine Mit-telstreckenregatta für Seesegler auf dem Programm und die räumliche Konzentration der Veranstaltungsorte sorgt für noch mehrZuschauernähe.

Ich wünsche allen Beteiligten, den Organisatoren, Teilnehmern undBesuchern, eine erfolgreiche Veranstaltung!

Dear sailors and participants,

here we go: from July 2 to 10, 2011, the international worldof sailors will gaze at Rostock / Warnemuende, for more than2.000 sailors from 30 different nations will set off for the74th WARNEMUENDER WOCHE!

There is almost no other sailing event in Germany compara-ble to the WARNEMUENDER WOCHE, when it comes to bringingtogether high-level sports and joyful festivities, innovationin yachting and tradition ashore. Both sportsmen and visitorsappreciate this event and ambiance a lot. Therefore,

the WARNEMUENDER WOCHE has reached a definite position in calendarsboth of regattas and events over the years.

In 2011, the WARNEMUENDER WOCHE is going to attracts visitors with newhighlights: with the Skippi 650, the single-handed skiff Devoti-One,the 2.4mR and the traditional category Ixylon, four new categories ofships will be among the starters. While the “Warnemuender Cup” will bethe first mid-distance regatta for sea-sailer, the areal concentrationof the venues is going to lead to an even more intense spectator proximity.

Willkommen auf einem der weltweit besten Segelre-viere

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,liebe Seglerinnen und Segler,

nun schon zum 74. Mal lockt die WARNEMÜNDER WOCHESeglerinnen und Segler aus aller Welt von der War-nowmündung aus auf die Ostsee.

Die 1926 begründeten Wettkämpfe stehen heute füreines der traditionsreichsten Segelsportereignisse Deutsch-lands und sind zugleich alljährlich sympathische Werbung für einesder weltweit besten Segelreviere. Über 2.000 Seglerinnen und Seg-ler aus 30 Nationen werden in 25 verschiedenen Bootsklassen Re-gatten bestreiten und so Warnemünde zehn Tage lang in den Fokusdes Segelsports stellen.

Ich danke allen, die dies möglich machen, und wünsche den Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern, aber auch den vielen Zu-schauerinnen und Zuschauern schon jetzt wunderschöne Tage amOstseestrand!

Dear Sailors, dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Already for the 74th time sailors from around the world are attracted by the WARNEMUENDER WOCHE to the Baltic Sea.

Founded in 1926, competitions are now one of the most traditional sailing events in Germany and at the same time

they are each year a sympathetic advertising for one of the world's best sailing grounds. More than 2.000 sailors from 30 nations are racingcontests in 25 different boat classes. For ten days Warnemuende is goingto be in the focus of the sailing sports.

My sincerely thanks to all persons, who make this happen.To all participants, but also to the numerous spectators, I wish wonder-ful days at the Baltic Sea beach!

WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE ... mehr als nur Segeln!

Alljährlich wird in der ersten vollen Juliwoche im Ostseebad War-nemünde die WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE ausgetragen. Zehn Tage langherrscht Sommer- und Partystimmung an Land, am Strand und aufdem Wasser. Die Segler schätzen das Revier vor den Toren der Han-sestadt Rostock aufgrund der kurzen Anfahrtswege zu den Regat-tabahnen, der langen Welle und des ungetrübten, meist kräftigwehenden Westwindes. Und sie lieben die individuelle, freundlicheBetreuung bei der Veranstaltung, die ihren eigenen Charme mit in-ternationalem Segelsport perfekt kombiniert. Die über 2.000 Seg-ler aus 30 Nationen in 25 Bootsklassen bilden das Herzstück derVeranstaltung. Rund 700.000 Zuschauer kommen alljährlich, umvom Strand oder von den beiden Molenköpfen aus einen Großteilder Wettfahrten live zu verfolgen und die Segler beim Ein- und Aus-laufen zu beobachten.

Die Location ist perfekt ...

Zwei Yachthäfen und unzählige Liegeplätze im Alten Strom sindwährend der WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE die Heimat der Segler: derYachthafen auf der Mittelmole und die neue Fünfsterne Marina aufder anderen Seite der Warnow (Yachthafen Residenz Hohe Düne).Von hier aus erreichen die Aktiven ihre Regattabahnen schnell undohne weitere Hindernisse. Gleichzeitig sind sie der ideale Ort fürabendliche Klassenparties und gemütliche Abende im Hafen.Das reichhaltige Kulturprogramm während der WARNEMÜNDERWOCHE mit einem Umgang in historischen Trachten, Waschzuber-rennen, Drachenbootrennen, Beachparties und jede Menge Musikund Unterhaltung im ganzen Ort sorgt zehn Tage lang für Ab-wechslung an Land.

Das Ostseebad Warnemünde bietet darüber hinaus eine gute In-frastruktur an Land:

Schicke Boutiquen, exquisite Läden sowie weitere Einkaufsmög-lichkeiten laden zum Shoppen ein. Banken, eine Postfiliale sowieLebensmittelläden, eine Vielzahl von Restaurants und Kneipen, einTheater und ein Museum sind ebenso schnell erreichbar wie die Se-gelmachereien, Werften oder der Strand. Markant ist auch das War-nemünder Cruise Center, ein gläsernes Terminal, das mit 116 An-läufen mit rund 200.000 Touristen an Bord zu einem der beliebte-sten deutschen Häfen für die Riesen der Meere avancierte.

... und die beste Basis zum Durchstarten!

Natürlich ist Warnemünde auch ein hervorragender Ausgangspunktfür Wanderungen und Radtouren an der Küste entlang oder in dasLandesinnere. So liegt die Hanse- und Universitätsstadt Rostock nuracht Kilometer landeinwärts und ist mit ihren 200.000 Einwohnerndie größte Stadt im Land Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und wirt-schaftliches Zentrum der Region. Auch touristisch hat sie einiges zubieten: herausgeputzte Giebelhäuser aus der Hansezeit, das idylli-sche Kloster zum Heiligen Kreuz mit dem Kulturhistorischen Mu-seum, einige alte Speicher, das Schifffahrtsmuseum und denMarktplatz mit dem barock verkleideten siebentürmigen Rathaus.Über allem die großen Backsteinkirchen und ringsherum die Stadt-mauer mit den mächtigen Toren. Dazu eine reizvolle Fußgänger-und Einkaufszone, Kinos, Indoor-Spielplätze und einen großen Zoo.Etwas außerhalb findet man Unterhaltung auf Karls Erdbeerhof oderauch im Kletterwald. Ganz leicht gelangt man von Rostock auch inandere interessante Orte des Landes wie z.B. die LandeshauptstadtSchwerin, Barlach-Stadt Güstrow, auf die wunderschöne HalbinselFischland-Darß mit den idyllischen Orten Ahrenshoop und Zingstoder in das älteste deutsche Seebad Heiligendamm.

WARNEMUENDER WOCHE ... more than sailing!

The WARNEMUENDER WOCHE takes place every year in the first week ofJuly. For ten days, everyone has a great time in town, on the beach andon the water. Sailors love this sailing site at the resort of Rostock, espe-cially because of its short distances to the race courses, the perfectwaves and the reliably strong westerly winds. They also enjoy the per-sonal and friendly care received throughout the event, which gives thisregatta its special charme. More than 2.000 sailors, 30 nations and 25boat classes are the core of this international event, and about 700.000spectators travel to Warnemuende every year to watch the races livefrom the beach or the mole heads.

A perfect location ...

The two harbours Marina Mittelmole and the luxury Marina Hohe Duene,as well as numerous berths at the “Alter Strom” house the sailors du-ring the WARNEMUENDER WOCHE, all of them are charming and delight-ful places for both lively parties and quiet evenings. Short distancesguarantee a quick access to the race areas on the next morning.Interesting cultural events, such as a traditional costume procession, arace of self made swimming vehicles and dragon boat races, beach par-ties, music and entertainment provide an attraction for everyone stay-ing onshore!

In addition, Warnemuende resort provides an excellent infrastructure:

Within short walking distance you will find banking houses, the post of-fice, supermarkets, a great variety of restaurants and bars, the theatre,the museum, or sail makers, shipyards and, of course, the beach! Fancyboutiques, interesting and exquisite shopping facilities are looking for-ward to serve you courteously and with expertise. Another place of greatinterest is the “Warnemuende Cruise Centre”, a glassy landing stage forthe biggest cruising ships on their journeys through the European seas –Warnemuende has become one of the most popular harbours in Ger-many for cruise liners with 116 port calls and a passenger volume ofover 200.000.

... and the perfect base for touristic activities!

Warnemuende, of course, is a brilliant starting point for long walks orbike tours, going along the seaside or heading towards the inland. In adistance of 8 kilometres you find the university town and Hanseatic Cityof Rostock - with 200.000 habitants the biggest town of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the economic centre of the region. Tourist attractionsare the buildings from the Hanseatic period, an idyllic abbey, some oldstore-houses, a museum of shipbuilding, brick-lined churches and thehistoric city wall. The pedestrian precinct and shopping mall, cinemasand the zoo complete the broad offer for an eventful and exciting visit.Nearby town, you will find a strawberry farm, as well as a high-wireforest providing climbing adventures. Also very easy to reach are otherinteresting places, including the regional capital Schwerin, the Ernst-Barlach-town Güstrow, the oldest German seaside resort of Heiligen-damm, or the beautiful and breathtaking peninsula “Fischland-Darß”with its endearing villages Ahrenshoop and Zingst.

Mit dem Auto: Teilnehmer, die ihre Basis im Yachthafen Mittelmole haben:An der Abfahrt Rostock West (14) die A20 verlassen und auf die B103 in Richtung Warnemünde abbiegen.In Warnemünde der Ausschilderung zum Yachthafen Mittelmole fol-gen.

Teilnehmer, die ihre Basis im Yachthafen Hohe Düne haben:An der Abfahrt Rostock Ost (6) die A19 verlassen und auf die B 105in Richtung Stralsund (Ausschilderung: Hohe Düne) abbiegen. In Rö-vershagen an der ersten Kreuzung links abbiegen bis Niederhagen,rechts weiter auf der Bäderstraße, in Hinrichshagen links abbiegenund über Markgrafenheide nach Hohe Düne.

Alternativ: Anfahrt wie Yachthafen Mittelmole, dann jedoch durchden Warnow-Tunnel (mautpflichtig) oder in Warnemünde mit derAutofähre (kostenpflichtig) nach Hohe Düne übersetzen.

Mit dem Flugzeug:Flughafen Rostock-Laage (www.rostock-airport.de)Taxi nach Warnemünde ca. 60,00 €.

Mit dem Zug: Bis Rostock-Hauptbahnhof, weiter mit der S-Bahn nach Warne-münde (Endstation). Fußweg zum Yachthafen Mittelmole oder zurFähre nach Hohe Düne (2 min.).

Mit dem Schiff:Die Fähren aus Dänemark, Schweden (www.scandlines.de), Finn-land, Estland oder Lettland kommen im Fährhafen Rostock an(www.rostock-port.de).

By car:Participants based at Marina Mittelmole:Arriving on the highway A20 use the exit no. 14 Rostock-West. Followthe national route B 103 to Warnemuende. At Warnemuende you followthe signs leading to “Yachthafen Mittelmole” (= Marina Mittelmole).

Participants based at Marina Hohe Duene:Arriving on the highway . A19 use the exit no. 6 Rostock-Ost and conti-nue on the national route B 105 towards Stralsund (signposted: HoheDuene). At Roevershagen take the first turn left towards the village ofNiederhagen, turn right onto the “Baederstrasse”, turn left in Hinrichs-hagen and pass through Markgrafenheide to the Marina Hohe Duene.

Option: you follow the a.m. directions and continue on B 103, then usethe Warnow tunnel (toll) or the car ferry (extra fee) from Warnemuendeto Hohe Duene.

By plane:Airport Rostock-Laage (www.rostock-airport.de)Taxi to Warnemuende approximately 60,00 €.

By train: Main station is Rostock-Hauptbahnhof. Use the regional train “S-Bahn”to Warnemuende (end of the line). Walk to Marina Mittelmole or ferryto Hohe Duene (2 minutes).

By ferry:Ferries from Denmark, Sweden (www.scandlines.de), Finland, Estonia andLithuania arrive at Rostock harbour (www.rostock-port.de).

Allgemeine Hinweise für Regattateilnehmer

Die Anreise der Klassen für den zweiten Teil der WARNEMÜNDERWOCHE kann nicht vor Mittwoch, 6. Juli 2011, erfolgen.

Alle Regattateilnehmer werden gebeten, die besonderen Verkehrs-regelungen im und um das Regattagelände auf der Mittelmole undder Hohen Düne zu beachten. Sie sind notwendig,a) um die große Zahl von Booten, die zur WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE

kommen, aufzunehmen,b) um die Verkehrswege für Polizei, Rettungswagen und Feuerwehr

freizuhalten.

Während der WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE wird an den Reisetagen eineEinbahnstrassenregelung eingerichtet, weitere Informationen sieheVeranstaltungshomepage. Bitte folgen Sie den Anweisungen derHafenmeister und des Sicherheitspersonals.

Regeln auf dem Veranstaltungsgelände

• Das Grillen bzw. Anzünden von Lagerfeuern und anderen offenenFeuerstellen ist strengstens verboten.

• Das Baden und Angeln in allen Hafenanlagen ist strengstens ver-boten.

• Das Arbeiten an den Booten inklusive Mast stellen, Mast legenund Auftakeln ist auf den zugewiesenen Parkflächen sowie aufdem Camping-, Wohnmobil- und Trailerplatz ausdrücklich unter-sagt.

• Bei Nichtbeachtung der Vorschriften können polizeiliche Maß-nahmen nicht vermieden werden.

• Beachten Sie bitte das Merkblatt, das Sie bei der Anreise am Ein-gang zu den Yachthäfen oder im Regattabüro erhalten.

General traffic rules in the harbour area

• It is strictly forbidden to have a barbecue or an open fire in the har-bour area.

• Swimming and fishing are strictly forbidden in all areas of the Warne-muende harbours.

• Any duties on the boats including setting the mast or any proceduresof rigging are strictly forbidden on all parking grounds and on allcamping sites or parking facilities designed for trucks and trailers.

• Non-compliance may call for enforcement by the police.

• Please note the details from the leaflet which will be distrubeted receiveat the entrance to the marinas or at the Race Offices.

Geplante Klassen- und Stegpartys während der Veranstaltung imHafenbereich sind vor Beginn der WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE beim Ver-anstalter anzumelden.

Trainer- und Begleitboote

Im Sinne der Sicherheit und eines reibungslosen Ablaufs der ge-samten Regatta sind folgende Grundsätze einzuhalten:• Vor der Nutzung müssen sich alle Motorboote registrieren lassen.

Es sind pro Boot 25,00 € Hafengebühr zu entrichten.• Jedem registrierten Motorboot wird eine eindeutige Nummer zu-

geteilt. Diese muss sichtbar angebracht werden.• Die Motorboote dürfen ausschließlich auf den ihnen zugewiese-

nen Liegeplätzen liegen.• Die Veranstalter weisen darauf hin, dass Führer von Schlauch-

oder sonstigen Motorbooten den Sportbootführerschein See –bei Ausländern den entsprechenden Führerschein ihres Heimat-staates – mitführen müssen.

• Die gesetzliche Höchstgeschwindigkeit auf der Warnow begin-nend zwischen den Molenköpfen beträgt 6 kn. In den Häfen undim Alten Strom gilt eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 3 kn.

• Trainer- und Begleitboote haben den Anweisungen der Wett-fahrtleitung bzw. Jury zu folgen.

• In Notsituationen ist jedes Trainer- und Begleitboot zur Hilfeleis-tung verpflichtet.

Social events ashore

Class and private parties in the harbour area which will be held duringthe event must have granted permission by the organizer, an applicationshall be made previous to the event.

Support boats

For all people safety and for the good course of the event, please payattention to the following basic - rules:• Before being used all support boats shall be registered and shall pay

a harbour fee of 25,00 € per boat.• A unique registration number will be assigned to each support boat.

Support boats shall present their registration number clearly visible.• Support boats are to be moored only in the allocated berths in the

marinas.• The organizer wishes to inform you that all helmsmen of rubber boats

or other motorboats have to hold the appropriate German license –e.g. international certificate for pleasure boats off shore – foreign par-ticipants shall hold the adequate license of their home country.

• The civil speed on the Warnow river (beginning with the heads ofthe two moles) is limited to 6 kns. Within the harbour and on theriver Alter Strom the civil speed is restricted to 3 kns.

• All drivers of support boats have to follow any instructions given bythe Race Committee or the Jury.

• In case emergency all trainer - and support boats are obliged to helpevery body.

Kranen

Kielboote, die auf dem Landweg anreisen, können von den vor-handenen Kränen zu Wasser gebracht und wieder an Land genom-men werden. Kranen 1 x zu Wasser und 1 x an Land ist imMeldegeld enthalten.Eine Ausnahme bilden Seekreuzer. Diese haben pro Hub eine Kran-gebühr von 25,00 € zu entrichten.Kranen für Yachten über 6t kann nur im Yachthafen Hohe Düne vor-genommen werden.

Liegeplätze

Die Liegeplätze befinden sich im Yachthafen Mittelmole, AlterStrom, Weststrand oder im Yachthafen Hohe Düne (siehe Seite 16dieser Ausschreibung).Liegeplätze werden vom Hafenmeister zugewiesen.Die gekennzeichnete Zuordnung der Stege und Flächen ist verbindlich.Liegeplatzgebühren werden für die Teilnehmer in der Zeit vom 1. bis10. Juli 2011 nicht erhoben.

Shuttle-Service

2.4mR: Den Teilnehmern dieser Klasse wird an den Regattatagen je-weils eine Hin- und Rückfahrt mit der Auto- und Personenfähre derWeißen Flotte kostenfrei vom Veranstalter zur Verfügung gestellt.

Parken

Parkplätze in den Bereichen Mittelmole (P1) und Hohe Düne sind ingeringer Anzahl vorhanden und kostenpflichtig. Parkkarten könnendirekt beim Parkplatzwächter erworben werden.

Utility of cranes

Keel boats arriving by trailer may be launched and hauled out by thelocal cranes. During the event a craning fee for one launching and onehaul-out is included in the entry fee.

Sea cruisers have to pay a craning fee of 25,00 € per single launchingor hauling.All yachts with a weight exceeding 6 tons may be launched and hauledout by cranes at Marina Hohe Duene only.

Moorings

Moorings are located at Marina Mittelmole, Alter Strom, Westbeach or atMarina Hohe Duene (see page 16 of this Notice of Race).All moorings will be allocated by the harbour master.Participants are requested to use the marked moorings and areas onlyAll participants can use marked moorings and areas for boats free ofcharge from 1st to 10th July 2011.

Shuttle-Service

2.4mR: For the participants of this class a shuttle service with the “WeißeFlotte” is available. On the racing days one round-trip ticket per partici-pant is provided by the organiser.

1. Regeln

1.1. Die Regatta unterliegt den Regeln, wie sie in den Wettfahrtregeln - Segeln - definiert sind.

1.2. Es gelten die Wettsegelordnung, Ranglistenordnung und bei den Deutschen Meisterschaften die Meisterschafts-ordnung des DSV sowie die Zusätze des DSV zu den Wett-fahrtregeln. Diese sind auf der Internetseite des DSV undim Wettfahrtbüro einsehbar.

1.3. Bei einem Sprachkonflikt ist der englische Text maßgebend.Bei den Ordnungsvorschriften des DSV ist der Deutsche Textmaßgebend.

1.4. Keine Änderungen der Wettfahrtregeln, die eine längereVorbereitung benötigen, gelten. Änderungen der Wettfahrt-regeln stehen in den Segelanweisungen.

2. Werbung

Boote können verpflichtet werden vom Veranstalter gewählte und gestellte Werbung anzubringen.

3. Teilnahmeberechtigung und Meldung

3.1. Die Regatten der WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE sind offen für die in folgender Tabelle aufgeführten Klassen.

3.2. Letzte Startmöglichkeit ist jeweils um 14.00 Uhr am letztenWettfahrttag der Klasse.

3.3. Für Olympische Klassen gilt der ISAF-Zulassungs-Kodex (Regulation 19).

3.4. Zulassungsberechtigte Boote können melden:3.4.1. Vorzugsweise per Internet: www.warnemuender-woche.com.

Die Meldung über das Internet ist nur gültig, wenn das offizielle Online-Meldeformular benutzt wird. Das Melde-formular muss vollständig ausgefüllt werden.

3.4.2. Per Post:Einsenden des offiziellen Meldeformulars mit Unterschrift.

1. Rules

1.1. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).

1.2. The racing prescriptions (WO), ranking list prescriptions (RO) and for the German Championship the championship prescriptions (MO) and the Addenda to the RRS of the DSV apply.English versions of these prescriptions are available on the DSVweb-site and in the race office.

1.3. If there is a conflict between languages the English text will takeprecedence. In the prescriptions of the DSV, the German text will take precedence.

1.4. No changes of racing rules that requires advanced preparationwill apply. Racing Rule changes will be listed in the sailing instruction.

2. Advertising

Boats shall be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

3. Eligibility and Entry

3.1. All races of the WARNEMUENDER WOCHE are open for classes listed in the following Table.

3.2. Latest possible starting time is 14.00 h on the last racing day of the class.

3.3. For Olympic classes the ISAF eligibility code (Regulation 19)shall apply.

3.4. Eligible boats may enter using either:3.4.1. Preferably via internet: www.warnemuender-woche.com.

Online entries via internet will only be accepted if the officialonline-entry form is being used. The form shall be filled outcompletely.

3.4.2. Paper mail:A completed and signed entry form shall be sent to the organizer.

3.4.4. Meldungen, die nicht die offiziellen Meldeformulare derWARNEMÜNDER WOCHE nutzen, werden nicht akzeptiert.

3.5. Meldeschluss ist am 18. Juni 2011.3.6. Eine Nachmeldung ist nur bis zum 27. Juni 2011 bei

Zuzahlung von 25 % des Startgeldes möglich.3.7. Die Zahlung des Meldegeldes soll mit der Meldung erfol-

gen. Der Anspruch auf Zahlung des Meldegeldes entfälltnicht durch Rücknahme der Meldung oder durch Fernblei-ben des Bootes. Das Meldegeld wird nicht zurückerstattet.

3.7.1. Das Meldegeld ist vorzugsweise per Internet mit der On-linemeldung über die verschlüsselte Internetseite unseresPartners PAYONE zu zahlen. Der Veranstalter muss dann zumEinziehen des Meldegeldes ermächtigt werden.

3.7.2. Alternativ ist das Meldegeld mit den Angaben: Klasse, Segelnummer und Name des Steuermannes auf folgendesKonto einzuzahlen:

4. Vermessung

Jedes Boot muss einen gültigen Messbrief vorweisen.

5. Sicherheitsbestimmungen

5.1. Jeder Steuermann bzw. jede Steuerfrau ist für die seemän-nische Führung seines bzw. ihres Bootes in jeder Hinsichtselbst verantwortlich.

5.2. Jedes Boot muss gemäß WR 1.2 angemessene Rettungs-ausrüstung und jeder Teilnehmer persönliche Auftriebs-mittel mitführen.

6. Anmeldung und Segelanweisungen

6.1. Die Anmeldung erfolgt im Regattabüro Yachthafen Warne-münde Mittelmole ab Freitag, den 1. Juli 2011, 9.00 Uhr. Für 2.4mR erfolgt die Anmeldung am 7. Juli 2011 (10.00 bis 19.00 Uhr) im Yachthafen Hohe Düne.

6.2. Die Teilnehmer erhalten dort die Segelanweisungen und das Programm.

6.3. Teilnehmer, die nicht bis eine Stunde vor dem Start ihrer ersten Wettfahrt ordnungsgemäß registriert wurden, sind nicht startberechtigt.

3.4.3. Fax message:A completed and signed entry form shall be sent to the organizer.

3.4.4. Entries not using the official WARNEMUENDER WOCHE entry form will not be accepted.

3.5. Entry closing date is 18th June 2011.3.6. Late entries will be accepted up to 27th June 2011. An extra

4. Measurement

Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate.

5. Safety regulations

5.1. Every helmsmen or -woman is responsible in every respect for the way in which he or she sails his or her boat.

5.2. In accordance with RRS 1.2 each boat shall carry adequate life-saving equipment and each competitor personal flotationdevice.

6. Registration and sailing instructions

6.1. Registration shall be made at the Race Office located at MarinaMittelmole beginning on Friday, 1st July 2011 at 9.00 hrs. The registration for 2.4mR shall be made at 7th July 2011 (10.00- 19.00 hrs) at the Race Office Hohe Duene .

6.2. The Sailing Instructions and the programme will be available at registration.

6.3. Participants who are not registered properly at least one hour before their first start are not allowed to start in any case.

6.4. Bei der Anmeldung zu den Wettfahrten im Regattabüro hatjedes Crewmitglied die unten stehende Haftungsausschluss-erklärung zu unterschreiben (siehe Ausschreibung 17).

6.5. Minderjährige Teilnehmer müssen den Haftungsausschlussvon einem Erziehungsberechtigten unterschreiben lassenund spätestens bei der Registrierung abgeben. In jedem Fallhaben sie eine Ausweiskopie eines Erziehungsberechtigtenvorzulegen.

7. Kurse und Wettfahrtgebiete

Die Wettfahrtgebiete und die zu segelnden Kurse werden in der Segelanweisung dargestellt.

8. Straf-System

Für die Klassen H-Boot wird Regel 44.1 geändert, so dassdie Zwei-Drehungen Strafe durch die Eindrehung Strafe ersetzt wird.

9. Internationale Jury

Ein Schiedsgericht oder eine Internationale Jury gemäß WR Anhang N wird eingesetzt. Entscheidungen der Internationalen Jury sind nicht berufungsfähig, so wie in Regel 70.5 vorgesehen.

10. Zusätzliche Ausrüstung

Boote müssen vom Veranstalter gestellte On-Board-Kameras, GPS-Geräte oder ähnliche Ausrüstung in der vom Veranstalter festgelegten Form mitführen.

6.4. During registration in the Race Office each crew member shallsign the exclusion of liability (see Notice of Race 17).

6.5. Parents must sign the declaration for minor participants. This parental consent form has to be presented at registration.Additionally a copy of parents ID is necessary.

7. Course Areas and Courses

Course Areas and Courses will be published in the Sailing Instructions.

8. Penalty-System

For the classes H-Boat rule 44.1 is changed, so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.

9. International Jury

A protest committee or an International Jury may be appointedin accordance with appendix N of the RRS. In accordance withRRS 70.5, there shall be no right of appeal concerning the deci-sions of the International Jury.

10. Additionale Equipment

Boat shall carry on-board-cameras, GPS navigators or similarequipment provided by the organizer as specified by the organizer.

11. Wertung

11.1. Wenn 4 oder weniger Wettfahrten vollendet sind, ist die Wertung der Serie eines Bootes gleich der Summe aller Wertungen

11.2. Werden 5 oder mehr gültige Wettfahrten gesegelt, wird dieschlechteste Wertung gestrichen.

12. Trainer- und Begleitboote

12.1. Vor der Nutzung müssen sich alle Motorboote registrierenlassen. Es sind pro Boot 25,00 € Hafengebühr zu bezahlen.

12.2. Jedem registrierten Motorboot wird eine eindeutige Num-mer zugeteilt. Diese muss sichtbar angebracht werden.

12.3. Die Motorboote dürfen ausschließlich auf den ihnen zuge-wiesenen Liegeplätzen liegen.

12.4. Die Veranstalter weisen darauf hin, dass Führer vonSchlauch- oder sonstigen Motorbooten den Sportbootfüh-rerschein See - bei Ausländern den entsprechenden Füh-rerschein ihres Heimatstaates - besitzen müssen.

12.5. Die gesetzliche Höchstgeschwindigkeit auf der Warnow beginnend zwischen den Molenköpfen beträgt 6 kn. In denHäfen und im Alten Strom gilt eine Höchstgeschwindigkeitvon 3 kn.

12.6. Trainer- und Begleitboote habe den Anweisungen der Wett-fahrtleitung oder der Jury Folge zu leisten.

12.7. In Notsituationen ist jedes Trainer- und Begleitboot zur Hilfeleistung verpflichtet

13. Restriktionen zum “Aus dem Wasser holen”Kielboote dürfen während der Veranstaltung nicht aus demWasser geholt werden, außer es liegt eine schriftliche Erlaubnis der Wettfahrtleitung vor.

14. Tauchausrüstung und Plastikabhängungen

Geräte, um unter Wasser zu atmen, und Plastikabhäng-ungen oder vergleichbare Ausrüstung sind für Kielbootenicht erlaubt.

15. Funkverbindung

Wenn sich ein Boot in einer Wettfahrt befindet, darf es keineFunkübertragungen durchführen und auch keine Funksprü-cheempfangen, die nicht auch alle anderen Boote empfan-gen können. Dies betrifft auch Mobiltelefone.

16. Preise

16.1. Für die ersten drei Plätze einer jeden Klasse werden Ehren-preise vergeben.

16.2. Die Plätze 1-6 erhalten Ehrenurkunden.16.3. Folgende Wanderpokale werden für den Sieger

11. Scoring

11.1. When 4 or fewer races are completed the boats series score will be the total of her race scores.

11.2. There is one discard if 5 or more races are completed.

12. Support boats

12.1. Before being used all support boats shall be registered and shallpay a harbour fee of 25,00 € per boat.

12.2. A unique registration number will be assigned to each supportboat. Support boats shall present their registration number clearly visible.

12.3. Support boats are to be moored only in the allocated berths in the marinas.

12.4. The organizer wishes to inform you that all helmsmen of dinghies or other motorboats have to hold the appropriate German licence - e.g. international certificate for pleasure boatsoff shore – foreign participants shall hold the adequate licenceof their home country.

12.5. The civil speed on the Warnow river (beginning with the headsof the two moles) is limited to 6 kns. Within the harbours andon the river Alter Strom the civil speed is restricted to 3 kns.

12.6. All drivers of support boats have to follow any instructions givenby the Race Committee or the Jury.

12.7. In case emergency all trainer - and support boats are obliged to help every body.

13. Haul-out restrictions

Keel boats shall not be hauled out during the regatta exceptwith and according to the terms of prior written permission ofthe Race Committee.

14. Diving equipment and plastic pools

Underwater breathing equipment and plastic pools or their equivalent shall not be used around keel boats.

15. Radio communication

A boat shall neither use radio transmission while racing nor receive radio communication not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile phones.

16. Prizes

16.1. The best three boats of each class will be awarded prizes of honour.

16.2. Charters of honour will be awarded to the best six scored boatsof each class.

17. Haftungsausschluss

17.1. Die Verantwortung für die Entscheidung eines Bootsführers, an einer Wettfahrt teilzunehmen oder sie fortzusetzen, liegt allein bei ihm, er übernimmt insoweit auch die Verantwor-tung für seine Mannschaft. Der Bootsführer ist für die Eig-nung und das richtige seemännische Verhalten seiner Crewsowie für die Eignung und den verkehrssicheren Zustanddes gemeldeten Bootes verantwortlich. Der Veranstalter istberechtigt, in Fällen höherer Gewalt oder aufgrund behörd-licher Anordnungen oder aus Sicherheitsgründen, Änderun-gen in der Durchführung der Veranstaltung vorzunehmenoder die Veranstaltung abzusagen. In diesen Fällen bestehtkeine Schadenersatzverpflichtung des Veranstalters gegen-über dem Teilnehmer. Eine Haftung des Veranstalters, gleich aus welchem Rechtsgrund, für Sach- und Vermögensschä-den jeder Art und deren Folgen, die dem Teilnehmer wäh-rend oder im Zusammenhang mit der Teilnahme an der Ver-anstaltung durch ein Verhalten des Veranstalters, seiner Ver-treter, Erfüllungsgehilfen oder Beauftragten entstehen, istbei der Verletzung von Pflichten, die nicht Haupt-/bzw. ver-tragswesentliche Pflichten (Kardinalpflichten) sind, be-schränkt auf Schäden, die vorsätzlich oder grob fahrlässigverursacht wurden. Bei der Verletzung von Kardinalpflichtenist die Haftung des Veranstalters in Fällen einfacher Fahr-lässigkeit beschränkt auf vorhersehbare, typischerweiseeintretende Schäden. Soweit die Schadenersatzhaftung desVeranstalters ausgeschlossen oder eingeschränkt ist, befreitder Teilnehmer von der persönlichen Schadenersatzhaftungauch die Angestellten – Arbeitnehmer und Mitarbeiter – Ver-treter Erfüllungsgehilfen, Sponsoren und Personen, dieSchlepp-, Sicherungs-, oder Bergungsfahrzeuge bereitstel-len, führen oder bei deren Einsatz behilflich sind, sowieauch alle anderen Personen, denen im Zusammenhang mitder Durchführung der Veranstaltung ein Auftrag erteilt wor-den ist. Die gültigen Wettfahrtregeln der ISAF, die Klassen-vorschriften sowie die Vorschriften der Ausschreibung undSegelanweisung sind einzuhalten und werden ausdrücklichanerkannt.”

17.2. Es gilt das Recht der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.

18. Versicherungsdeckung

Jedes teilnehmende Boot muss eine Haftpflichtver-sicherung, die auch bei Regatten gilt und die mindestensSchäden im Wert von 1.500.000,00 € deckt, vorweisen können.

19. Urheber- und Bildrechte

Der (die) Teilnehmer(in) überlässt den Veranstaltern, ihrenAgenturen und Sponsoren entschädigungslos dauerhaft sämtliche Rechte an Foto- und Filmaufnahmen aller Art vondieser Regatta und ihren Sportlern für die sportliche undkommerzielle Auswertung.

17. Disclaimer of liability

17.1. The responsibility for the decision of the person in charge toparticipate in a race or to continue with it is solely with him, tothat extent he also takes the responsibility for his crew. Thecoxswain is responsible for the qualification and the correct nautical conduct of his crew as well as for the suitability and thetransport-safe condition of the registered boat. In cases of ForceMajeure or on grounds of administrative orders or for safety reasons the organizer is entitled to make changes in the realisation of the event or to cancel the event. In these casesthere does not exist any liability for compensation of the organizer to the participant. In case of a violation of obligationsthat do not constitute primary respectively material contractualduties (cardinal obligations), the liability of the organizer, nomatter because of which cause in law, for material and propertydamages of all kinds and their consequences that arise to theparticipant during or in connection with the participation in theevent resulting from a conduct of the organizer, his representa-tives, servants or agents, is restricted to damages that werecaused wilfully or grossly negligent. When a violation of cardinal obligations occurs, in cases of simple negligence theliability of the organizer is limited to foreseeable, typically occurring damages. To the extent that the liability for damagesof the organizer is excluded or restricted, the participant alsorelieves the staff – employees and representatives, agents, servants, sponsors and individuals who provide or drive salvage,safety or rescue vessels or assist with their use - from the individual liability for damages, as well as also all other individuals who were instructed to act in connection with therealisation of the event. The effective racing rules of the ISAF,the class rules as well as the regulations of the Notice of Raceand the Sailing Instructions are to be complied with and are expressly recognised.

17.2. The German law shall apply.

18. Insurance

Each participating boat shall be insured with a valid (and forthe racing area suitable) casualty insurance with a minimum coverage of 1.500.000,00 € per event or the equivalent.

19. Copyright and digital copyright

Each participant automatically grants the organizer, their agencies and the sponsors of this regatta the right in perpetuityto use at their discretion any pictures taken during the periodof competition in which the competitor participates withoutcompensation.

1. Regeln

1.1. Die Regatta unterliegt den Regeln, wie sie in den Wett-fahrtregeln - Segeln - definiert sind.

1.2. Es gelten die Wettsegelordnung des DSV sowie die Zusätzedes DSV zu den Wettfahrtregeln. Diese sind auf der Inter-netseite des DSV und im Wettfahrtbüro einsehbar.

1.3. Bei einem Sprachkonflikt ist der englische Text maßgebend.Bei den Ordnungsvorschriften des DSV ist der Deutsche Textmaßgebend.

2. Sicherheit

2.1. Hinsichtlich der Sicherheit und Ausrüstung der teilnehmen-den Yachten gelten die „Sicherheitsrichtlinien, int. und nat.Richtlinien für Ausrüstung und Sicherheit seegehender Segelyachten“, neuste Ausgabe des DSV.

2.2. Die Langstreckenregatta „hanseboot Rund Bornholm“ fälltin die Sicherheitskategorie 2. Die anderen Seeregatten der WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE fallen in die Sicherheitskategorie4. Ausnahmen sind in Folge von Klassenvorschriften undKonstruktionsbedingungen möglich.

3. Meldung, Meldegeld, zugelassene Vermessungsformeln

3.1. Meldeberechtigt sind Einrumpfseekreuzer mit einer ORC International oder ORC Club Vermessung, IRC Vermessung(IRC nur für hanseboot Rund Bornholm) und Yardstick Yachten und „one design“ Yachten, ab 3 Meldungen.

3.2. Zulassungsberechtigte Boote können melden:3.2.1. Vorzugsweise per Internet:www.warnemuender-woche.com.

Die Meldung über das Internet ist nur gültig, wenn dasoffizielle Online-Meldeformular benutzt wird. Das Melde-formular muss vollständig ausgefüllt werden.

1. Rules

1.1. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).

1.2. The racing prescriptions (WO) and the Addenda to the RRS of the DSV applies. English versions of these prescriptions are available on the DSV web-site and in the race office.

1.3. If there is a conflict between languages the English text willtake precedence. In the prescriptions of the DSV, the Germantext will take precedence.

2. Safety

2.1. The international and national rules for safety and equipment of offshore yachts (“Safety regulations”), latest edition of German Sailing Association (DSV), will apply with regard to thesafety and the equipment of all participating yachts.

2.2. The long distance race “hanseboot Rund Bornholm” is enclosedin the security category 2. The other offshore races of WARNE-MUENDER WOCHE are enclosed in the security category 4. Exceptions according to class regulations and constructionalmeasurements are possible.

3. Entry, Entry Fee, Ratings that apply

3.1. Eligible boats are one hull cruisers with either ORC Interna-tional or ORC Club or IRC measurement (IRC only for hansebootRund Bornholm) and Yardstick yachts or One Design classes if at least 3 entries.

3.2. Eligible boats may enter using either:3.2.1. Preferably via internet: www.warnemuender-woche.com.

Online entries via internet will only be accepted if the officialonline-entry form is being used. The form shall be filled outcompletely.

3.6. Der Anspruch auf Zahlung des Meldegeldes entfällt nichtdurch Rücknahme der Meldung oder durch Fernbleiben desBootes. Das Meldegeld wird nicht zurückerstattet.

3.6.1. Das Meldegeld ist vorzugsweise per Internet mit der On-linemeldung über die verschlüsselte Internetseite unseresPartners PAYONE zu zahlen. Der Veranstalter muss dann zumEinziehen des Meldegeldes ermächtigt werden.

3.6.2. Alternativ ist das Meldegeld mit den Angaben: Klasse,Segelnummer und Name des Steuermannes auf folgendesKonto einzuzahlen:

4. Zeitplan, Anmeldung

4.1. Die Anmeldung findet in den oben angegebenen Zeitenim Wettfahrtbüro Mittelmole statt.

4.2. ORC International oder ORC Club Boote (und IRC Boote für hanseboot Rund Bornhom) müssen bei der Anmeldung die Kopie des gültigen Messbriefs vorlegen. Nach dem Startder ersten Wettfahrt darf der vorliegende Messbrief nichtdurch einen anderen ersetzt werden.

5. Einteilung und Einzelwertung

5.1. Boote die nach ORC oder IRC gemeldet haben, werdennicht nach Yardstick gewertet und umgekehrt.

5.2. Bei zu geringer Anzahl an ORC International Meldungen,werden diese Boote nach ORC Club in den ORC Club Gruppengewertet.

5.3. ORC International und ORC Club Boote werden nach ihremfesten TOT-Offshore-Wert (time on time) gewertet.

5.4. IRC Boote werden nach ihrem festen TCC-Wert gewertet.5.5. Bei der Yardstickwertung wird die Yardsticktabelle des Seg-

lerverbands Mecklenburg Vorpommern zu Grunde gelegt.5.5.1. Weicht ein Boot von der beim Yardstickausschuss hinter-

legten Deklaration oder dem Klassen-Standard ab, muss esdie Abweichung im Einzelnen mit der Meldung beschrei-ben.

5.5.2. Änderungen in der Yardstickzahl zu Gunsten des Teilneh-mers (z.B. Vergütung für Segeln ohne Spinnaker) werdennach Meldeschluss nicht mehr angenommen. Das Gleichegilt für Nachmeldungen.

5.6. Die Aufteilung in Gruppen erfolgt durch die Wettfahrt-leitung.

5.7. Soll das Boot in die Wertung „schnellstes Charterschiff“gehen, ist dies bei der Meldung anzugeben und der Chartervertrag bei der Anmeldung vorzulegen.

5.8. Für die Wertung „Beste Jugendmannschaft“ bei hansebootRund Bornholm darf die Hälfte der Mannschaft das 21. Lebensjahr noch nicht vollendet haben. (Mannschaftslisteist bei der Anmeldung einzureichen).

5.9. Bei Anmeldung von mind. 3 Yachten erfolgt bei der Wettfahrt „hanseboot Rund Bornholm“ eine double-hand-Wertung.

6. Gesamtwertungen

6.1. WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE Cup der hansebootFür die Gesamtwertung gelten die folgenden Multiplikatoren:

• Warnemünde-Cup; Mittelstrecke 1,0• 2 Up & Down 0,5 (für jede der beiden Wettfahrten)• hanseboot Rund Bornholm 2,0

Für die Gesamtwertung WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE Cup werdendie teilnehmenden Boote nach ORC in einer eigenen Wertungerfasst. Die Gesamtwertung ist die mit den Multiplikatorenversehene Summe aller Wettfahrtwertungen ohne Streicher.

4. Schedule, Registration

4.1. Registration shall be taken in the race office mittelmole in the time periods shown in the table.

4.2. On registration ORC International boats and ORC Club boats(and IRC boatsfor hanseboot Rund Bornholm) have to present a copy of their valid measurement certificate. After the start of first race it is not allowed to present a newmeasurement certificate.

5. Grouping and Race score

5.1. Boats entered with ORC or IRC shall not be scored with Yardstick and vice versa.

5.4. IRC boats will be scored according their fixed TCC.5.5. For yardstick the yardstick table of the Mecklenburg

Vorpommern Sailing Federation will be used.5.5.1. Boats differing from the declaration at the yardstick-committee

or the class standard shall specify the change with her entry.

5.5.2. Changes of the yardstick factor in favour of the boat (for example for sailing without spinnaker) are not acceptedafter entry closing date. The same applies for late entries.

5.6. The nomination of race groups will be organized by the Race Committee.

5.7. For “charter” boat scoring, please mention “charter” on theentry form and show your charter contract at registration.

5.8. For scoring for the “Youth Cup”: Half of the crew shall be youn-ger than 21 years (Please show your crew list at registration).

5.9. For the race “hanseboot Rund Bornholm” a double hand scoring will take place starting from three entries.

9 Zusätzliche Ausrüstung und Werbung

9.1 Boote müssen vom Veranstalter gestellte On-Board-Kameras, GPS-Geräte oder ähnliche Ausrüstung in der vomVeranstalter festgelegten Form mitführen.

9.2. Boote können verpflichtet werden vom Veranstalter gewählte und gestellte Werbung anzubringen.

10. Haftungsausschluss

10.1. Die Verantwortung für die Entscheidung eines Bootsführers,an einer Wettfahrt teilzunehmen oder sie fortzusetzen, liegtallein bei ihm, er übernimmt insoweit auch die Verantwor-tung für seine Mannschaft. Der Bootsführer ist für die Eig-nung und das richtige seemännische Verhalten seiner Crewsowie für die Eignung und den verkehrssicheren Zustand des gemeldeten Bootes verantwortlich. Der Veranstalter istberechtigt, in Fällen höherer Gewalt oder aufgrundbehördlicher Anordnungen oder aus Sicherheitsgründen,Änderungen in der Durchführung der Veranstaltung vorzunehmen oder die Veranstaltung abzusagen. In diesenFällen besteht keine Schadenersatzverpflichtung des Veranstalters gegenüber dem Teilnehmer. Eine Haftungdes Veranstalters, gleich aus welchem Rechtsgrund,für Sach- und Vermögensschäden jeder Art und deren Folgen, die dem Teilnehmer während oder im Zusammen-hang mit der Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung durch ein Verhalten des Veranstalters, seiner Vertreter, Erfüllungs-gehilfen oder Beauftragten entstehen, ist bei der Verletzungvon Pflichten, die nicht Haupt-/bzw. vertragswesentlichePflichten (Kardinalpflichten) sind, beschränkt auf Schäden,die vorsätzlich oder grob fahrlässig verursacht wurden.Bei der Verletzung von Kardinalpflichten ist die Haftungdes Veranstalters in Fällen einfacher Fahrlässigkeitbeschränkt auf vorhersehbare, typischerweise eintretendeSchäden. 10.2. Es gilt das Recht der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.

11. Versicherungsdeckung

Jedes teilnehmende Boot muss eine Haftpflichtversicherung,die auch bei Regatten gilt und die mindestens Schäden imWert von 1.500.000,00 € deckt, vorweisen können.

12. Urheber- und BildrechteDer (die) Teilnehmer(in) überlässt den Veranstaltern, ihrenAgenturen und Sponsoren entschädigungslos dauerhaftsämtliche Rechte an Foto- und Filmaufnahmen aller Art vondieser Regatta und ihren Sportlern für die sportliche und kommerzielle Auswertung.

9 Additionale Equipmentand Advertising

9.1. Boat shall carry on-board-cameras, GPS navigators or similarequipment provided by the organizer as specified by the organizer.

9.2 Boats shall be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

10. Disclaimer of liability

10.1. The responsibility for the decision of the person in charge to participate in a race or to continue with it is solely with him, to that extent he also takes the responsibility for his crew. The coxswain is responsible for the qualification and the correctnautical conduct of his crew as well as for the suitability and thetransport-safe condition of the registered boat. In cases of ForceMajeure or on grounds of administrative orders or for safety reasons the organizer is entitled to make changes in the reali-sation of the event or to cancel the event. In these cases theredoes not exist any liability for compensation of the organizer tothe participant. In case of a violation of obligations that do notconstitute primary respectively material contractual duties (cardinal obligations), the liability of the organizer, no matter because of which cause in law, for material and property damages of all kinds and their consequences that arise to the participant during or in connection with the participation in the event resulting from a conduct of the organizer, his representatives, servants or agents, is restricted to damagesthat were caused wilfully or grossly negligent. When a violation of cardinal obligations occurs, in cases of simple negligence the liability of the organizer is limited to foresee-able, typically occurring damages. To the extent that the liability for damages of the organizer is excluded or restricted,the participant also relieves the staff – employees and re-presentatives, agents, servants, sponsors and individuals who provide or drive salvage, safety or rescue vessels or assistwith their use - from the individual liability for damages,as well as also all other individuals who were instructed to actin connection with the realisation of the event. The effectiveracing rules of the ISAF, the class rules as well as the regulations of the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructionsare to be complied with and are expressly recognised.

10.2. The German law shall prevail.

11. Insurance

Each participating boat shall be insured with a valid (and for the racing area suitable) casualty insurance with a minimum coverage of 1.500.000,00 € per event or the equivalent.

12. Copyright and digital copyright

Each participant automatically grants the organizer, their agenciesand the sponsors of this regatta the right in perpetuity to use at their discretion any pictures taken during the period of compe-tition in which the competitor participates without compensation.

1. RULES

1.1. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012.1.2. No National Authority prescriptions will apply.1.3. The Laser class rules Rule 7 (a) is restricted as follows: Only one person shall be onboard whilst racing. The person shall be named on the

entry form.1.4. Sails shall have the full sail number AND NATIONAL LETTERS in accordance with the Class Rules and RRS. The national letters shall denote

the National Authority of which the sailor is a member in accordance with RRS 75.2. This changes RRS Appendix G 1.1.1.5. If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.

2. ADVERTISING

2.1. Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY

3.1. Only current fully paid members of the International Laser Class Association may enter the regatta. During registration each sailor will berequired to show clear written evidence of current membership of his or her national Laser Association. If a sailor is unable to present this,he / she will be charged a fee of 70,00 € (payable in local currency), 10,00 € of which will be retained by the collecting club and 10,00 €will be retained by ILCA to cover administrative costs. 50,00 € will be passed on by ILCA to the sailor's district, which may refund it to thesailor if he / she is already a current member, or may put it towards that sailor's membership fee if he / she is not a member.

3.2. Crew substitution of the registered sailor is not permitted.

3.3. AGE ELIGIBILITY

3.3.1. The Laser Europa Cup (Laser Standard Rig) is restricted to sailors who are, or will be at least 17 years old in the calendar year in whichthe series is held; i.e., a competitor for the 2011 series must be born in 1994 or earlier.

3.3.2. The Laser Radial Europa Cup is restricted to sailors who are, or will be at least 15 years old in the calendar year in which the series isheld; i.e., a competitor for the 2011 series must be born in 1996 or earlier.

3.3.3. The Laser 4.7 Europa Cup is restricted to any male sailors who are or will be at least 12 years old but not 18 years old in the calendar yearin which the series is held; i.e., a male competitor for the 2011 series must be born in 1994 - 1999. Or any female sailors who are or willbe at least 12 years old in the year in which the series is held; i.e., a competitor for the 2011 series must be born in 1999 or earlier.

3.3.4. The Laser Standard Youth Grand Prix is restricted to any sailors who are or will be 17 years old but not 21 years old in the calendar yearin which the series is held; i.e., a competitor for the 2011 series must be born in 1991 - 1994.

3.3.5. The Laser Radial Youth Grand Prix is restricted to any sailors who are or will be 15 years old but not 19 years old in the calendar year

in which the series is held; i.e., a competitor for the 2011 series must be born in 1993 - 1996.3.3.6. The Laser 4.7 Youth Grand Prix is restricted to any sailors who are or will be 12 years old but not 18 years old in the calendar year

in which the series is held; i.e., a competitor for the 2011 series must be born in 1994 - 1999.Proof of age will be required at registration.

3.4. Each competitor shall be registered as an ISAF sailor. Sailors must have a valid ISAF Number to qualify. To register as an ISAF Sailor go to:http://www.sailing.org/2056.php. To avoid score duplication, sailors should ensure they use the same ISAF number for every event entered.

3.5. Any sailor who has not, by the closing time for registration, completed registration at the venue will be removed from the list of sailorsfor that event and will not be scored at that event. This also applies to sailors who have complied with all other entry requirements.

4. ENTRY FEES & MAILING ADDRESSES FOR ENTRIES

Entries must be made by the date specified on the ILCA website. Payment of entry fees may be made on site at some regattas, providedthe competitor has entered and sent the completed entry form to be received by the entry closing date. Please check the informationon the ILCA website for individual regattas. Where on site entry is available, sailors who did not complete an entry form by the entryclosing date, or sailors who cannot show confirmation that the host has received their entry form by the entry closing date, will becharged the late entry fee. See also Notice of Race 3.5.

5. SCHEDULE

The race committee may decide to split some or all of the classes into groups. If a class is split into groups, competitors will sail in thesame group for all races in that regatta. A round robin system for the groups will be used as specified in the sailing instructions. Thereare two races a day for a 4 day racing series and three races a day on the first two days of a 3 day series with 2 races on the last day.

6. BOATS AND EQUIPMENT

6.1. All competitors shall use only one hull, sail, mast, boom, centreboard and rudder.6.2. In the event of damage, boats and equipment may only be substituted with the written permission of the regatta measurer, jury or race

committee. If the damage occurs later than 90 minutes before the first scheduled start on a racing day and before the start of the last raceof the day, provisional verbal permission shall be obtained from the regatta measurer, jury or race committee and the written permissionof the regatta measurer, jury or race committee shall be applied for before the end of Protest Time at the end of the day in which the substitution takes place.

6.3. Women competitors shall place a red diamond on each side of their sail (back to back) in compliance with class rule 4(g). The diamond shallbe 240mm high and 180mm wide +/- 5mm and shall be located in the centre of the sail immediately above the top batten. 7. MEASUREMENTS

Boat and equipment may be inspected at any time for compliance with the class rules, wet clothing rules and sailing instructions at the discretion of the class representative, race committee or international jury.

8. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

The approved Sailing Instructions for the Laser Europa Cup 2011 will be posted on the Official Notice Board and the ILCA website. Sailing Instructions will be available from the on-site Race Office on the day before the start of each regatta.

9. THE COURSES

Trapezoid courses will be used with inner and outer loops and an upwind finish.

10. PENALTY SYSTEM

10.1. a postponement, general recall or abandonment, the penalty is cancelled, but it is counted to determine the number of times she hasbeen penalized during the regatta. If a boat has been penalized for the second or subsequent time under Appendix P1 and the race committee signals a postponement, general recall or the race is abandoned, the boat shall not sail in this race if it is restarted or resailed. If she does, she shall be disqualified without a hearing and her score shall not be excluded.

(c) Action by the jury under Appendix P shall not be grounds for a request for redress by a competitor. The jury however may initiateredress. This changes rule 60.1(b), 60.2(b) and Appendix P4.

10.2. Decisions of the jury will be final as provided in rule 70.5.

11. WHISTLE SYSTEM

To encourage boats to take penalties afloat, jury members may blow a whistle when they see what they believe to be a breach of a rule.If no boat takes a penalty, the jury may lodge a protest.

12. SCORING

12.1. For all classes, 2 races (completed by all groups) are required to be completed to constitute a regatta.12.2. (a) When fewer than 4 races have been completed, a boat’s regatta score will be the total of her race scores.

(b) When from 4 to 7 races have been completed, a boat’s regatta score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.(c) When 8 races have been completed, a boat’s regatta score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.

12.3. If a points scoring penalty would result in a score worse than DSQ, the penalty will be that corresponding to DSQ. The scores of other boatswill not be changed.

12.4. The scoring abbreviation for a discretionary penalty will be DPI.12.5. The scoring abbreviation for an arbitration penalty is ARB, and the scoring abbreviation PTS means scoring penalty for a yellow flag

after finishing.12.6. A penalty score in a split fleet will be based on the number of competitors in the largest group of the split fleet.12.7. Overall Series

The overall series will consist of 13 events/regattas.To be included in the overall series, a competitor must fulfil the following criteria:(a) attend at least 3 events(b) must attend at least one regatta of group A which is made up of:

(i) Torbole (Italy)(ii) La Rochelle (France)(iii) Warnemuende (Germany)


(c) must attend a second regatta of Group B which is made up of:Torbole (Italy)La Rochelle (France)Warnemuende (Germany)Lugano (Switzerland)Scheveningen (Netherlands)Breitenbrunn (Austria)Hvar (Croatia)To calculate a competitor’s overall series score, 4 event results will be included as follows:

(1) a competitor’s best event result from Group A(2) a competitor’s best event result from Group B (which cannot be the same result as in (1) )(3) plus a competitor’s two further best event results from any of the series regattas (which cannot be the same results as in

(1) and (2) ). The winner shall be the boat with the lowest total score. When there is a tie on total points between two or moreboats, the tie shall be broken in favour of the boat with the most first places in the 4 counting events and when any such boatsremain tied, the most second places and so on, until the tie is broken. When the tie still remains, it shall stand as part of thefinal series results. This changes rule A8.

12.8. Series Scoring for categories (men/women, boys/girls, age categories).Scoring for series results in any of these categories shall be made by extraction from the overall series results without rescoring.

13. PRIZES

13.1. Prizes for each regatta will be awarded in the following categories subject to entry numbers.Laser Standard Rig: Overall, Youth Under 21, Youth Under 19Laser Radial Rig: Men, Women, Boys Under 19, Boys Under 17, Girls Under 19, Girls Under 17Laser 4.7 Rig: Boys Under 18, Boys Under 16, Girls Under 18, Girls Under 16

13.2. OVERALL SERIES PRIZES(a) ILCA prizes (cubes and plaques) will be awarded for at least the first 3 places in each category noted in 13.1 subject

to ILCA Honour Awards By Law.(b) In the Laser Standard Rig Europa Cup the first placed competitor in the series ranking will receive a new Standard sail.(c) In the Laser Radial Rig Europa Cup the first placed male and the first placed female competitor in the series ranking will each

receive a new Laser sail (Radial or Standard sail).(d) Laser Standard Youth

i) In the Laser Standard Youth Grand Prix Under 21, the first placed competitor in the series ranking will receive a newStandard sail. In the event that the overall winner of the Laser Standard Youth Grand Prix series is also the winnerof the Laser Standard Europa Cup series, only one such prize will be awarded.

ii) In the Laser Standard Youth Grand Prix Under 19, the first placed competitor in the series ranking will receive a newStandard sail. In the event that the overall winner of the Laser Standard Youth Grand Prix series is also the winnerof the Laser Standard Europa Cup series, only one such prize will be awarded.

(e) Laser Radial Youthi) In the Laser Radial Youth Grand Prix Under 19, the first placed boy and first placed girl competitor will each receive a new

Laser sail (Radial or Standard sail). In the event that the winner of the Laser Radial Europa Cup series is also the winner of theLaser Radial Youth Grand Prix, only one such prize will be awarded.

ii) In the Laser Radial Youth Grand Prix Under 17, the first placed boy and first placed girl competitor will each receive a new Lasersail (Radial or Standard sail). In the event that the winner of the Laser Radial Europa Cup series is also the winner of the LaserRadial Youth Grand Prix, only one such prize will be awarded.

(f) Laser 4.7 Youthi) In the Laser 4.7 Youth Grand Prix Under 18, the first placed boy and first placed girl competitor will each receive a new Laser

sail (4.7 or Radial sail). In the event that the winner of the Laser 4.7 Europa Cup series is also the winner of the Laser 4.7 YouthGrand Prix, only one such prize will be awarded.

ii) In the Laser 4.7 Youth Grand Prix Under 16, the first placed boy and first placed girl competitor will each receive a new Lasersail (4.7 or Radial sail). In the event that the winner of the Laser 4.7 Europa Cup series is also the winner of the Laser 4.7 YouthGrand Prix, only one such prize will be awarded.

14. SAFETY

14.1. Competitors shall wear personal flotation devices at all times when afloat, except briefly when changing or adjusting clothing or personalequipment. Wet suits and dry suits are not personal flotation devices. This changes rule 40.

14.2. Each event may introduce a Check-in and Check-out system, which will be detailed in the Sailing Instructions for each relevant event.

15. TEAM AND SUPPORT BOATS

Team and support boats shall, at all times when afloat, be conspicuously identified by the country name, national letters or national flagof the team they represent.

15.1. Before being used all support boats shall be registered and shall pay a harbour fee of 25,00 € per boat.15.2. A unique registration number will be assigned to each support boat. Support boats shall present their registration number

clearly visible.

15.3. Support boats are to be moored only in the allocated berths in the marinas.15.4. The organizer wishes to inform you that all helmsmen of dinghies or other motorboats have to hold the appropriate

German licence - e.g.international certificate for pleasure boats off shore - foreign participants shall hold the adequate licence of their home country.

15.5. The civil speed on the Warnow river (beginning with the heads of the two moles) is limited to 6 kns. Within the harboursand on the river Alter Strom the civil speed is restricted to 3 kns.

15.6. All drivers of support boats have to follow any instructions given by the Race Committee or the Jury.

16. RIGHTS TO USE NAME AND LIKENESS

By participating in this event, competitors automatically grant to the organizing authority and the event sponsors the right,in perpetuity, to make, use, and show at their discretion, any photographs, audio and video recordings, and other repro-ductions of them made at the venue or on the water from the time of their arrival at the venue, until their final depar-ture, without compensation.

17. LIABILITY

The sailing clubs, national authorities and the International Laser Class Association, their officers, members and volunteersdo not accept liability for loss of life or property, personal injury or damage caused by, or arising out of, the Europa Cupand Laser Youth Grand Prix regattas, and competitors take part in the regattas entirely at their own risk.The establishment of the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions in no way limits or reduces the complete and unlim-ited responsibilities of a competitor being solely and entirely responsible for the management of a boat he or she is sailing.A competitor must be of good health and a competent sailor capable of sailing a Laser in strong winds. It is the responsi-bility of each sailor to decide to participate in a race or to continue racing.

18. INSURANCE

Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of 1.000.000 €per event or the equivalent.

19. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Additional information will be notified either from the International Office or from individual organising clubs.
