  • Highlights of the activities undertaken by SSSSO Manipur during the period , 2015-16.

    1. Spiritual activities.

1.1 Sai Aradhana Mahotsav. On the 24th April 2015, four Samithis of Imphal West District held Sai Aradhana Mahotsav to re-dedicate to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and to bestow us the strength for following His Divine teachings for the welfare of the society and mankind. This day observed the 4th Mahasamadhi Anniversary of Bhagawan Baba by organising Sai bhajans and relay of His Divine discourses at Samathi mandirs and other places where gifts were presented to the inmates of the Homes/Centres/Schools.

    1.2 Public Bhajan

Public bhajan with Narayan Seva was conducted on 01/05/2015 ( May Day) at Chingmeirong mandali under Thangmeiband Samithi. Devotees, invitees and local people of the area assembled and the programme started with lighting of Jyoti. Sai bhajan and reading of Swamis Divine Message before providing lunch prasadam was the main feature. Altogether 88 persons attended the programme.

1.3 Study Circle i) Keishamthong Samithi organised one day Study Circle on 21/06/2015 at its mandir on the topic Pukning Amasung Bhaktigi Lambi Tatna Thanaba Yadrabasingni (unbreakable link between Mind and Bhakti). A speaker initially presented the outlines of the topic. Then followed by a prolific discussion among many participants.

  • The moderator of the study circle wrapped up the interaction with a version of Bhagawan Baba on Bhajan . Bhakti is mainly absorbing the mind to the Lord. Being fickle by nature, mind runs after so many desires, it seems almost impossible to get oneself free from this bondage. It is, as Bhagawan says, due to the discriminatory function of bhakti being interfered by ahankar (ego) in the Karma and buddhi is then polluted. You have to get yourself free from this pollution of mind by doing three practices. (1) Pranayam (2) Service to society and (3) Sadhana. It was agreed that all the aspirants have been doing Service and Sadhana under the Spiritual discipline of SSSS Organisation. However, many aspirants expressed their difficulties in properly practising pranayama. The problem having been pin-pointed, the study circle recommended one month regular class on Pranayam and some associated primary Ashan. The day closed with a bhajan session and arati to Bhagawan Baba.

ii)Study circles were also organised in Bishnupur,Thangmeiband,Ningthoukhong and Sagolband samithis.
