Outlook for September

Despite single digit drops in total sales, active listings, and the sales/listing ratio the Torrance real

estate market for August posted a 7.1% increase in the median sales price along with a marginal

decline in the median days to sell. Also, year-over-year stats suggest buyer and seller behavior is

moving in the right direction as evidence of the bump in the median sales price of $42K.

Though, as we move into the fall season it is less clear what is to become of the gains realized this

summer and in the first part of 2014. Regardless, as money remains relatively cheap now is the time

for buyers to lock in a historically low rate and begin the shopping process. And sellers, don’t wait too

long to get your property listed for sale because buyer demand is trending strong. For questions or
