A Simple Definition

Augmented Reality (AR) is a superimposed illusion of an interactive 3 dimensional environment or multimedia such as an image, a text, sound and movie on the computer screen when a camera of a device which already installed the software tracks a marker in reality by (Radio Frequency Identification, RFID). (Vate-U-Lan, 2010).

How does the on-line augmented reality work?

• Internet mode: Adobe Flash Player10 is installed on the computer

• The marker is tracked and co-ordinated content (2D, 3D, video, text, etc.) are superimposed over the image

• The tracking system follows the movement of the marker and plays animation accordingly

• It is possible to see the 3D content from 360 degrees by turning the marker in front of the camera.

About a marker1. Something on the top of a

marker means turn off.

2. A marker can work on skin, cloth and should print on the normal paper, not a glossy paper.

3. Colour or black and white of marker is does not a matter. This turns the new era of publishing.

4. AR also work in a markerless environment.
