Auditions for my Cover & Double Page Spread

Courtney Moran

I chose Courtney because againshe is a close friend who is studying music at Boa, I thought I could take this opportunity to audition Courtas she is interested in musicmagazines and knows thedress sense and so on. As I only want oneperson on the cover of my magazine, I would prefer a brunette so Courtneywill not be my main model.

Ciaran Craven

I chose Ciaran because he has anedgy look about him with theleather jacket and the stubbleon his face makes him look older. I held this audition as heagain would take the shootingseriously. It was nice to audition Ciaran butI would prefer a female to be on the coveras I can use my own clothes to dress themodel up and use nice, extreme make upon the eyes are lips to add emphasis.

Katie Martin

I chose Katie because she ismy sister and she has a nicedress sense which is usefulbecause I wouldn’t have tobuy any new clothes for the shoot. Katie was nearly my final choicefor my cover and DPS but Katie isvery smiley and will not fit into my genre of indie rock, I have to use somebody who can be serious but Kate maynot take this seriously.

James O’Shea

I chose to audition James because he has the indierock genre look as well as having the clothes which areparticularly needed for thisgenre. His cheek bones are defined which could give a nice effect for the cover of my magazine but I want a female to feature on the cover but ifI couldn’t find one then I would have chosen him.

My Final ChoiceErin Warren

I chose Erin because she isa close friend and she would take the shootingfor my magazine seriously.I like Erin’s hair and I feellike I could make her haireffective on the cover ofmy magazine. I would make Erin’seyes and her lips stand out on herpale skin which could be effective and somehow link to the colour scheme or the masthead. Erin looks like she could be part of a band such as Haim or something and has the indierock look about her.
