CASE STUDY

Challenge

In the course of an eDiscovery project an international pharma-

ceutical company was facing the challenge to have to provide

important documents, which had previously been managed in

eRooms, in a file system to comply with rules and regulations in

case of an audit. The corporate IT subsidiary was assigned to find

a solution to migrate the documents reliably, according to legal

requirements and enriched with additional information (attributes)

from eRoom to the file system.

Solution

fme’s migration product migration-center was already in place in the

corporate landscape and had been used successfully in numerous

projects as a standard tool for content migrations. With the help of

the eRoom adapter and the standard functionalities of migration-

center for both source system analysis and data enrichment the

crucial documents could be migrated to the file system within the

allocated time and budget frame and were also enhanced with

additional metadata.
