ATI TEAS Question & Answers
Website: teas.waketech.edu Please refer to the TEAS website for the most current information.
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) was developed to measure essential skills in the academic areas
of reading, mathematics, science, and English and language usage. These entry-level skills have been deemed
important for health sciences program applicants by a panel of curriculum experts.
Test Structure:
When to Test: After completing the Information Session, meeting the math requirements, and completing
ENG 111, ENG 112, and BIO 168 & BIO 169 (for Nursing) or BIO 163 (for Radiography).
Scoring: TEAS points are based on the Composite Score, which is an average of an applicant’s reading, math,
science, and English and language usage scores. Applicants may take the TEAS multiple times; their highest
score in each area will be used in calculating the Composite Score. Note that TEAS scores are reported as
percentages, in decimal format (e.g., 70.5%). TEAS scores will be rounded up or down to the nearest whole
number (.4 or lower will be rounded down; .5 or higher will be rounded up).
No Points: Students who do not receive TEAS points can still apply to the Nursing Program or Radiography
Program. PLEASE VIEW LAST PAGE FOR A FUTURE UPDATE OF A MINIMUM SCORE REQUIRED
