ArándanoNuestros frutos son redondeados, de color negro azulado y de un tamaño superioral arándano silvestre (±16 milímetros), con la piel firme, cubierta de un polvilloazulado (pruina) y la pulpa jugosa, son aromáticos, refrescantes, ligeramente ácidos,con notas dulces en su madurez y discretamente astringentes.Son una gran fuente de antioxidantes, antisépticos, antiinflamatorios, bactericidas ymuy ricos en polifenoles, por lo que son una gran ayuda en la protección de la visión,la reducción de la glucemia, el fortalecimiento del colágeno, además de cardiosaludablesy ayudar a evitar cáncer y la ralentización del Alzehimer y el Parkinson.
BlueberryOur fruits are rounded, black-blue and larger than the wild blueberry(±16 mm), with firm skin, covered with a blue dust (bloom) and a juicypulp. They are aromatic, refreshing, slightly acidic, with sweet notes atmaturity and quietly astringent.They are a great source of antioxidants, antiseptics, anti-inflammatory,bactericidal and very rich in polyphenols, which are a great help in protectingvision, reducing blood sugar levels, the strengthening of collagen and helpsavoiding cancer and the slowdown of the Alzheimer and Parkinson's.

Asturianberries: passion for the berriesAsturianberries is a company thatbelongs to a farmer co-operative (LaCooperativa de Agricultores de Gijón),founded in 2005, that is specializedin the cultivation and marketing of allkind of berries.The production base of Asturianberriesis formed by integrated producers,members of La Cooperativa that dueto an integration contract guaranteedthe selling of their products, theknowledge and the technical assistancerequired to cultivate the fruit.The company´s main plantation islocated in a 17 ha. field in Villaviciosawhich appart form producingblueberry is also an experimentalcultivation area to test the adaptabilityof plants to the different conditionsfound in the valleys where they willbe cultivated.Our headquarters in Gijón areequipped with cold processingcameras where we check, weigh andpackage the fruit of all the membersof the cooperative to distribute it andreach the market in the best conditions.

RaspberryIt is characterised by uniform light red fruit of remarkable shape, appearanceand size, that are long lasting and very consistent.Raspberries have a high content of fiber, vitamin C and folic acid. Itscomsumption helps preventing cancer and is vital in pregnancy, having alsodiuretic effects and properties against rheumatism and gout.
FrambuesaEstán formados por muchas drupas, aproximadas en piña y que destacanfácilmente. De color rojo intenso, cada drupa tiene adherido un pelo de coloramarillo oro. Nuestras frutas son grandes (±6 gr.) de sabor agradable, frescas,aciduladas y con notas azucaradas.Poseen un alto contenido de fibra, vitamina C y ácido fólico. El consumo deácido fólico ayuda a prevenir el cáncer y es fundamental en la gestación.Tienen acción diurética y propiedades que previenen el reumatismo y la gota.

Nuestro sistema de producciónLos productores integrados, con una media desuperficie inferior a 1ha., reciben un plan deproducción específico en el que se les aconseja eltipo de variedad de planta más acorde con el sueloa cultivar. Las tierras son mimadas por sus propietarioscon un altísimo de nivel de cuidados, lejos deltratamiento “industrial” de las grandes plantacionesintensivas.La fruta es recogida de manera manual ycuidadosamente seleccionada siguiendo los criteriosde asturianberries. A su llegada diaria al centro derecogida es verificada y en ese mismo momento serefrigera para mantener su alta calidad y preservarsu sabor.
La cadena del frío no se romperá en las cargasy transportes, y llegará al punto de ventay al consumidor en óptimas condiciones.
Our production systemThe integrated producers, with an average
of less than 1ha. by producer, receive apersonal production planning in which they
are adviced about the kind of plant that fitsbetter with the ground that is going to be
cultivated. The fields are cultivated with a highlevel of care, faraway from what is done in the
big industrial fields.The fruit is carefully selected by producers at thetime of picking. This procedure is carried out onlyby hand and according to the quality criteria set byAsturianberries. In the storage facility, the berriesare chilled using forced-air systems that allow theideal temperature to be reached rapidly in order tomaintain their high quality and safeguard their taste.The cold chain will not be broken during anysubsequent stages of production.
RedcurantOur redcurrants are the size of a pea, arranged in clusters, round andwith a deep red color. Its pulp is fleshy and juicy. While chewing the berryits delicate skin explodes in the mouth, producing a refreshing feeling.Due to the verified high levels of vitamin C, fruit acids, and fiber theberries contain, it is considered redcurrant berries to have fever-reducingeffects, sweat-inducing, mildly laxative, astringent, appetite increasing,blood cleansing, diuretic and digestive properties.
GrosellaSon bayas del tamaño de un guisante dispuestas en racimos, redondas,de color rojo intenso y su pulpa es carnosa y jugosa. Al masticar la baya,su piel fina y delicada estalla en la boca, produciendo una agradablesensación refrescante.Son muy ricas en ácidos orgánicos (antocianos y carotenoides) de acciónantioxidante, de bajo valor calórico por su escaso aporte de hidratos decarbono, especialmente ricas en vitamina C y buena fuente de fibra quemejora el tránsito intestinal.
