In 1942 Angelo Giardini, a foreign-

born American-schooled engineer,

formed a small construction com-

pany in Hartford, Connecticut. Over

the decades, The Associated Con-

struction Company has evolved into

a sophisticated, experienced organi-

zation that has constructed thou-

sands of buildings throughout

southern New England, creating an

enduring testament to the dreams

and vision of one man. Along the way,

we have also built an enduring repu-

tation for quality and service.

In construction, the product is

there for all to see. We have earned

our reputation by maintaining our

dedication to good workmanship and

demanding the best from our person-

nel and subcontractors. We plan,

manage and control each project to

You can be confident that we will

complete your project within budget

and on schedule.

Today, Associated Construction

Associated is the best way to ensure

adherence to strict budgets and tight

schedules. When acting as your Con-

struction Manager, we take full re-

sponsibility for the coordination and

supervision of an entire project from

inception to occupancy—and regu-

larly reduce both construction time

and Owner costs significantly. As the

Owner, you will be involved in all de-

cisions, and kept informed about

construction costs, scheduling and

savings. You will be in control of your

project without being directly re-

sponsible for the day-to-day manage-

ment. That’s our job.

active project list. Over time, these

of our business. Associated has been

actively involved in many different

types of projects, from schools and

universities to Nike missile bases and

airports, to tollbooths, prisons, court-

houses and publicly funded residen-

tial units.

By participating in this public bid-

ding process, Associated maintains

current knowledge of competitive

costs in the building industry. This

knowledge of material and labor costs

serves us well when pricing projects

Health care facilities

The soaring atrium of Middlesex Hospital’soutpatient clinic in Middletown.

Due to the ever-increasing cost of

health care, this industry is in a pro-

cess of reinvention. New procedures

and technology spur hospitals, im-

mediate care centers, surgi-centers

and health care complexes to reno-

vate and reconfigure existing space

and build additions or new facilities.

With our diversified background,

preconstruction services and value

engineering capabilities, Associated is

the ideal choice as a partner in these

demanding projects.

Commercial and office space

The complexity and dollar volume

of commercial and corporate office

projects are simply too great to rely

on chance. Every day, competitive

bids come in too high, causing expen-

sive delays, revisions and lost con-

struction time.

To the contrary, Associated works

with your design team to deliver the

cost analysis and value engineering

needed to achieve maximum quality

within budget. We have saved mil-

lions of dollars and months of delays

for our commercial clients.

The Catholic Church, through its

many dioceses, has hired Associated

many times over the years as a Gen-

eral Contractor or Construction

Manager on various projects, includ-

ing houses of worship, educational

facilities and church-sponsored

housing.

In addition, Associated has con-

structed other houses of worship,

One of the areas where Associated’s

roots lie is in industrial contracting.

Our dependability, performance

quality and on-time schedules have

earned us steady work in this very

technical and complicated niche mar-

ket.

Today, with more than forty indus-

trial projects completed, we continue

to construct new and renovate exist-

ing manufacturing facilities, chemi-

cal treatment plants, water treatment

plants, wastewater treatment plants,

propane and gas tank farms and labo-
