Asset ManagementHow We Manage Money

STEPS IN OUR METHODOLOGY

Asset ManagementAsset Management

Steps in our MethodologyStep 1

Identifying the Proper Stock Environment

Combination of 2 Factors:

Fundamentals - helps us determine asset allocation between stocks, bonds and alternative investments.

Technicals - drives our buy and sell signals for each investment.

Steps in our MethodologyStep 1

Identifying the Proper Stock Environment We analyze fundamentals--interest rates, gold price, inflation. Then, we identify the trend in the overall stock market to determine the Technical situation.

Result: 3 types of Investment Environments

a) favorable to stocksb) neutral to stocksc) negative to stocks

Creating a Universe of Acceptable Stocks—everything begins hereRequirements—clean data, current data--price and fundamental data, and a long data history We use:

Compustat Database — one of the most reputable and cleanest data bases in the world, containing 40,000 globally listed, exchange-traded corporations.

Sharia Compliant Universe—additional filtering is required. Our goal: To create an Ethically and Socially Responsible Alternative “Value” Universe

In the final analysis, it is Technicals, more than Fundamentals, that drive our investments in Stocks.*

Our research suggests that classic fundamental measures like Price-Earnings, Price-to-Sales, Price-to-Book, are NOT a consistent measure of a stock’s true value.

Technicals—price action—gives us a more reliable and consistent measure of:

a) Global Strength—which global markets are the best?b) Stock Strength—which stocks in each global market are the best?c) Investor Sentiment—into which markets and stocks are investors moving their capital?

*The stock market is driven more by investor behavior, sentiment, and price action, than by fundamentals.

Asset Allocation

Stocks are not the “only game in town.”

Our goal a full portfolio--a diversified, non-correlated mix of traditional and alternative assets to compliment stocks, to reduce portfolio risk, and increase the profit opportunities for investors during those times when stocks are not a good investment.

We combine traditional investments--stocks and bonds—with alternative investments--metals, energies and currencies—to achieve a broad mix of investments to weather the bad times, and profit from the good times.

Step 4

Picking Stocks Two methodologies: Growth and Value.

Value—driven by a combination of:

Steps in our Methodology

a) technical correction in individual stocks—severe, extreme, low levels, and

b) subsequent recovery in the price of these stocks

Value stocks generally require longer time to recover and profit, than Growth stocks. When Value stocks profit, the results can be vastly superior

Step 4

Picking Stocks Two methodologies: Growth and Value.

Growth—driven by combination of

Steps in our Methodology

a) high relative strength—identifying the strongest stocks within the universe

b) “breakout” signals—classic channel breakouts

c) “swing trading” techniques—to reduce market “noise,” and

d) volatility--for entering and exiting investments

Step 4

Managing the Stock Portfolio: We focus on the portfolio more than on individual stocks. One good stock can make the difference in a portfolio.

Leveraging the portfolio for more profit; De-leveraging for less risk

Investors have different appetites for risk and reward. Our portfolios reflect these differences.

Through the addition of Alternative investments for Diversification, Stability and Added Strength and, then, leveraging to increase exposure to all markets, portfolios can become much more profitable than investors can imagine.

We never recommend adding leverage for higher returns without proper risk tolerance within the portfolio. This is accomplished through the selective addition of non-correlated, Alternative Investments.

Portfolio Rebalancing and Refreshing

At regular intervals during the year, we adjust the portfolio for a “fresh start,” using the newest signals, to redistribute profits and losses across all sectors.

Wealth ManagementEach investor has his own profile. Through a series of questionnaires and personal interviews, and by coming to understand the fears, needs, and wants of the investor--as well as the tax implications and inheritance considerations--we develop a medium and long term strategy for structuring a portfolio that can meet each profile.

Asset ManagementAsset Management

Wealth ManagementWe ask investors the following questions:

*Previous investment history*Does the investor need/want recurring, ongoing income? Or long term capital appreciation? Or both?

*What is the investor willing to risk to meet these objectives?*Is the investor patient? Is he willing to hold in anticipation of future gains? *What is his tolerance to risk? *Is the investor “self directed?” Or does he want independent advice? *Debt and Cash Flow situation?*Current income or capital appreciation?*What is the family situation? What are his ongoing, recurring obligations?

*Tax situation, inheritance concerns?
