Mandatory quarantines of doctors and other peopletraveling from three West African countries who havehad direct contact with a person infected with Ebola vi-rus have begun in New Jersey and New York.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and New York Gov.Andrew Cuomo announced the mandatory quarantinesas well as other ramped-up screening protocols thattook place immediately at JFK and Newark Liberty In-ternational Airports.
One health care worker who had contact with Ebolapatients in Africa and who landed at Newark LibertyAirport Friday already has been quarantined, eventhough she initially had no symptoms. However, lateFriday, Christie posted to Twitter that the “health careworker developed a fever (and) is in isolation (and) be-ing evaluated at University Hospital Newark.”
