EVALUATION 4- WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR MEDIA

Many people
associate my target audience
with (underage) drinking,
drug abuse and
smoking as well as
other illegal, youth
activities.
Many social media sights such as
Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram
are used by the predominate target audience. They are also key factors to
distribute the film to them.
Apparel such as H&M, Topshop, American Apparel, Adidas, Gap, Urban Outfitters and Nike are
recognizable clothing stores that supply the "mainstream",
highstreets fashion which is what our target audience is interested
in. They promote themselves through similar cross media
platforms I am choosing to use such as through TV, online, cinema advertisement and
sponsorship.
An extremely large percentage of my target
audience are users of mobile devices, and the
most popular is the iPhone. It is a very important feature
because it allows them to connect with one another,
promote and advertise my media product, talk
about our media product and also we can advertise it to them through apps
and sponsors.
Favored celebrities or celebrity endorsement may include people
such as Ariana Grande, Emma Stone, Lindsey Lohan, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Taylor
Swift ect. These celebrities may indorse or advertise the movie
through social media, advertising or premiers.
Actors e.g. Lindsey Lohan feature in the teen drama/coming-of-age/ problematic films so is a
symbol to my target audience. Also, she is a desired woman
who many females see as a role model or a goal to reach because of her appearance and success
so she is a popular feature to the advertisement.
Books and films such as The Twilight Saga, Mean Girls, Easy A
and John Tucker Must
Die are popular
amongst my teen target
audience. They fall in very
similar genres and all hold an
element of revenge. These are generally
watched in cinemas with
large numbers of them.
Large food/drink-chains that are usually nationally if not globally
recognized. These include McDonalds, Starbucks, Nandos and Chicken Cottage.These are favored places because of the quality of food for such little
affordable money- due to these people mostly being students and not earning an income.
Most if not all of these things can be found in
shopping centers, which is why they are ideal places for my target audience to hang out
and be around such as Westfield, Oxford Street
ect.
