Annette Fitton from Nini and Wink, wildly threw open the doors to her cupboard full of recycled and/or left over pieces of fabric, yarn, magazines and cardboard, sharpened her industrial designers hat and fell madly in love with designing and making things. Subsequently, Dolly & Friends were born. These child friendly, machine washable characters are both funny and cute. Hand-made from predominantly recycled cotton corduroy with new polyester filling these original dolls each have their own name and personality, a consequence of their free form embroidered faces.Nini and Wink are looking forward to their stall at this years Makers Market to catch up with the creative community of Kingston and the happy craft seeking crowds. They hope you will love these beautiful, individual and creative gifts.

Raised amidst an environment of Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Al Green, The Meters, James Brown, Stevie Wonder and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Josh thrived on new musical flavours and aimed to incorporate the sounds he loved into the music he created. Whether its funk, blues or reggae, the overriding element for Josh is the infusion of soul, and he combines all of these genres to produce his own very original sound.

Venture into one corner of our subterranean Makers Market and you can open a studio portal into another world. For the very first time in Kingston, Artist Sean Diamond showcases his large scale art installations Planetoids at this years Makers Market. Following an extremely successful showing at the White Night Festival last year, these huge steel structures will illuminate the Market and have the crowds gazing in awe.
