KATHLEEN SLAVINABSTRACTION IN LANDSCAPE

New vision abstracted landscape paintingsby Kathleen Slavin heighten our sense ofthe Boreal forest. The effect of light throughbranches, of sky and water all harken backto early responses to the rugged Canadiannorth by Canada’s early painters. As daringtoday as it was for those early painters, sheforges new pathways for us to understand asubject so often left incomplete. Therimmed hard edges of shapes and luminouscolour of her pallet create a distinctiveclarity and insight to traditional landscape.Contact Artists in Canada about KathleenSlavin’s work.
