The gallery is also open on bank holidays.The cutout works of Henry Matisse are being exhibited at Tate Modern from 17 April to 7 September 2014. The ticket price for adults starts from £16.30. At present, an exhibition of the work of Richard Hamilton is on till 26 May 2014 with a ticket price of £13.10. The Royal Academy of Arts is nearing 250 years of existence. It is located in the West End. The regular timings are from 10 am to 6 pm while on Friday, the gallery is open till 10 pm. On Fridays, visitors are allowed in up to 9.30 pm. At present, an exhibition on architecture is underway and will close on 6 April. Tickets for the exhibition begin from £14. Later this year, the works of German artist Anselm Kiefer will be exhibited at the Academy from 27 September to 14 December. Also in the latter half of 2014 will be an exhibition of the work of Allen Jones RA from 13 November 2014 to 25 January 2015.

A different type of art is housed at the National Portrait Gallery which is located at St. Martin’s Place. Here, the art focuses on people and faces, more particularly the faces of famous people

from the ancient times to the modern times. The gallery is open until 9 pm on Thursday and Friday. An exhibition of photographs taken by David Bailey is currently on show and is scheduled to run till 1 June, tickets for which are £14.50 and up to £16 with the higher-priced tickets including a Gift Aid donation.

The Saatchi gallery at Duke of York’s Building on Kings Road houses contemporary art in 12 gallery Space Planning. A fair for contemporary objects, COLLECT, is being held at the gallery from 10 May to 13 May with tickets priced at £17.
