Students will learn tosee and interpret a variety of subjects while usingdiverse materials and techniques. Course workwill facilitate a dialogue in which students willengage in critical analysis and begin to developtheir understanding of drawing as a discipline.Prerequisite: None.

♦ARTS 1317Drawing IICRT HRS:3   LEC HRS:2   LAB HRS:4   OTH HRS:0A studio course exploring drawing with continuedemphasis on descriptive, expressive andconceptual approaches. Students will furtherdevelop the ability to see and interpret a varietyof subjects while using diverse materials andtechniques. Course work will facilitate a dialoguein which students will employ critical analysisto broaden their understanding of drawing as adiscipline. Students choosing to enroll in sectionswith live nude models must have chair approvaland be a minimum of 18 years of age according toBoard Policy 3642.Prerequisite: ARTS 1316 and Program Chair approval.

The translation of verballanguage into visual language through a variety ofmedia and software will be covered.Prerequisite: Completion of ARTS 2348.

It includes camera operation,techniques, and presentation skills.
