A view of three repeating architectural elements as reflected in the water of a reflecting pond. This shot was taken just after sunrise in order to capture the building bathed in the beautiful warm morning light.



Taken from an off-center position, the y-shaped structural element casts a shadow on the glass façade and both are reflected in the pool highlighted by the rising sun.



This image was taken straight on and cropped create a symmetrical mirror image in the pond.



A utility stair and catwalk are captured against adjacent concrete walls lit by warm morning sun. Even non-public areas of a building can be portrayed in an artistic manner.



Another utility stair and areaway, flanked by a short concrete wall on the left and the Museum’s monumental signage element, is set in a planting bed.



The roofs and walls of different sections of the Museum are captured in a dramatic way and rendered in black and white. The color version of this image was much too distracting and lacked the drama of a black and white image.

This photo of the Museum of Science and history was taken to show the strong use of color and shape by the architect to define the various compositional elements of the building.




Clerestory glazing separates a projecting roof from elements of exterior walls in different planes.


This photo demonstrates how the architect applied repeating design elements to create shadows and movement.




The deep blue of the planetarium dome is juxtaposed against the multi-toned brick drum and an adobe-colored flanking wall.



The elegantly designed stainless steel handrail and newel post are set off from a warm-toned block retaining wall.

The viewpoint of this photo is from the Southwest emphasizing the two-story glass entry.


His photograph was taken of the north façade to highlight the use of stone and architectural metals.



This photograph contrasts the verticality of the lobby space with the horizontal use of the windowwall and porcelain-enameled panels.



Throughout the building interior native pecan wood – in various patterns – was used for millwork.



A casual seating area sits under an ornamental staircase.

Native stone, brick and a open steel structure frame the main entry to Vandergrift High School.



A landscaped courtyard separates two buildings providing space for student activities.



“Main Street” is a two-story circulation-socializing area that connects the cafeteria, gym, and auditorium.



The Library is filled with natural light.

This photograph was shot to demonstrate the tenant’s proximity to the State Capitol Building.



This emphasis in this photograph a bank’s entrance in a larger building lobby.



The control room board features prominently in front of a window into the recording studio at the Art Institute of Austin.

Lance Armstrong Foundation

The front of the Lance Armstrong Foundation building was shot to feature the raised podium and metal trellis overhead.



The metal trellis reflected in the glass combines with window mullions to create interesting patterns.



The architects placed informal seating areas between free-standing rooms in an open plan arrangement.



A pedestrian “avenue” is created by freestanding rooms and wall elements.



A reception desk is placed in front of a Donor Wall that uses an iconic yellow LiveStrong banner to identify the occupant.



Freestanding meeting rooms are used to define circulation and adjacent office areas.



A seating area is framed by wood planks in a lath-like pattern, which allows some natural lighting and a separation from an adjacent circulation path.
