The material we use

Extira is a hardwood composite manufactured by CMI. CMI is a Chicago based manufacturer of CraftMaster Door Designs and finished doors, MiraTEC Exterior Composite Trim and Extira Panels. The company's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Towanda, PA., has a 38 year history of producing high quality building products for the commercial, industrial and residential markets. The Gingerbread Man has done extensive research and testing to find the right material for our Decorative Exterior products (Gingerbread). Extira has consistently outperformed all other products. The support and assistance we receive from CMI is outstanding. They have proven to be a company that stands beside their customers to answer questions and find solutions to any and all issues.

Corner Brackets, Porch Post Brackets, Gingerbread Brackets...Break up the "square" with some creativity.

A bracket with a straight side and top is a "framed style", when there is no fully flat line on the side and top it is "unframed". Some patterns have a wider piece of material on the sides, this we call a nailer or backer. Nailers can be added to any style bracket.

All Gingerbread comes unprimed and needs to be predrilled prior to installation. We include instructions in every shipment.

Gable ornaments can make the most dramatic change in the look of a home. The "AG-01 and 02" are considered adjustable. We make these in three pieces and the angle is trimmed in the field. We cut all other gable ornaments to the pitch given to us by our customer. To measure for a gable ornament you need to measure down each side from the peak 36" on each side. Make a mark. Measure between the marks. ______"

Measure carefully, pitches other than standard pitch are non-returnable.It is your responsibility for the correct pitch.

When gable ornaments are shipped they will be in 2 or more pieces. Some assembly in the field is required.
