Quilt Top Assembly5. Sew four flower blocks together to make one row (Fig. 3). Repeat to make five rows.

SewingSew using a ¼” seam allowance with right sides together (RST) unless otherwise indicated. Always

press towards the darker fabric while assembling, unless otherwise noted by the arrows.

Block Assembly1. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, trace (160) petals and (20) centers onto the paper side of the fusible web. Roughly cut out each template about ⅛” outside the drawn lines.

2. Press each template onto the wrong side of the fabrics as listed in the cutting instructions. Cut out each template on the drawn lines. Remove the paper backing.

3. Refer to the quilt photo to arrange and press the (8) matching petals and (1) flower center together onto (1) 12 ½” Fabric A square to make one flower block (Fig. 1). Repeat to make nine more Flower Blocks using the 12 ½” Fabric A squares for the background and (10) Flower blocks using (10) 12 ½” Fabric B squares (Fig. 2).

4. Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to complete the (20) flower blocks.

Layering, Quilting and Finishing7. Sew the (2) 56” x WOF strips together and trim to make (1) 56” x 68” backing piece.

8. Press the quilt top and backing well. Layer backing (wrong side up), batting, pressed quilt top (right side up) and baste. Quilt as desired and trim excess batting and backing when quilting is complete.

Binding9. Cut the ends of the (6) Fabric H binding strips at a 45-degree angle and sew end to end to make one continuous piece of binding. Fold in half lengthwise and press wrong sides together.

10. Sew the binding to the front of the quilt, raw edges together. Turn the folded edge to the back, and hand stitch in place.

6. Sew the five rows together to make the quilt top (Fig. 4).
