Place the top rail on a flat surface upside down. Place barrel and receiver into rail. Allow barrel nut to enter relief cut inside the hand guard. Align rail with upper receiver and place clamp over the barrel nut to allow the anti- rotation tabs to rest on the lower left and right side of the upper receiver. 2. Remove Troy barrel clamp and clamp screws from rail. 1. Field strip weapon and place upper receiver on table. Cover receiver and barrel with canvas, cardboard or other material to shield from metal chips. With handsaw, dremmel tool or bolt cutters, remove delta ring. With pliers, pull off weld spring and snap ring. Remove bottom rail, screws and clamp from hand guard assembly. Remove all oil from surface of barrel nut and inside of hand guard and clamp. Installation should be performed by qualified gunsmith only. 4. Snap the bottom rail into top rail. 5. Install all four screws (do not fully tighten). Hold the end of the rail system centering it with the barrel. 6. Tighten the four screws in a diagonal order. 7. Screw the top screw through the bottom rail into the clamp. Leave the screw loose. 8. Make sure the rail system is centered on the barrel, if not repeat steps 5-6-7. If rail system is centered, apply a drop of low-strength thread locking compound to the top screw. Tighten screw snug. (Do not over tighten or warping of the bottom rail can occur) 9. Reinstall flash suppressor/ muzzle device using 3/4” wrench or armourers wrench.

7. Screw the top screw through the bottom rail into the clamp. Leave the screw loose.

8. Make sure the rail system is centered on the barrel, if not repeat steps 5-6-7. If rail system is centered, apply a drop of low-strength thread locking compound to the top screw.Tighten screw snug. (Do not over tighten orwarping of the bottom rail can occur)

9. Reinstall flash suppressor/ muzzle device using 3/4” wrench or armourers wrench.
