On the invitation of Mr. Vencislav Ignatov, the Presi-dent of Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-Do ITF, two representatives of the AETF Board of Directors, Master Tadeusz Loboda, the President and Master Jerzy Jedut, the Secretary General went to Bulgaria in on 4th – 6th June 2011. The main purposes of the visit were: meeting the lead-ers of Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-Do and member clubs, acknowledging the current situation of Taekwon-Do ITF in Bulgaria, learning the technical level of BAT com-petitors by conducting the training sessions to prepare for the degree test, presenting the methodology of teaching Taekwon-Do, rules of per-forming the patterns, step sparring and the meetings with representa-tives of local authorities as well as the Ministry of Physical Education and Sport, also, examining the organizational potential of BAT to host European Cup and European Championships. It is worth mentioning that four representatives from Serbia, lead by Mr. Zvezdan Milenkovic, the President and Nenad Nikodijević, the Secretary General of Taek-wondo Federation of Central and Southeast Serbia took part in this event. The visit was very promising and all the aims were achieved.

On 7th July 2010 ITF submitted an application for membership to Sport Accord. As you know Master Loboda had been appointed the Chairman of the Coordination Committee for Affiliation of Taekwon-Do ITF to Sport Accord. Therefore he and Master Jedut ac-companied the ITF Delegation consisting of GM Pablo Trajtenberg, the ITF President and Master Juan Ferrando, ITF Secretary General at the Sport Accord Convention held in the term 5th – 8th April 2011 in London, England. Mr. Philip Lear was chosen to the ITF Communications Committee. The Chairman of the Committee Master McPhail said that Mr Lear can help in the communications committee as he is in contact with many of our ITF instructors across the globe, and also being placed in the UK and within Europe he is in an ideal position to motivate instructors and heads of associations to write articles for the ITF website. He is dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate about Taekwon-Do. Congratulations and wishes of success in fulfilling the new position.
