Classes commence in September of each academic year and persons are prepared

over an intense 9 month period to sit their examinations during the May/June

COURSE FEES:

The course fees listed below vary according to the number of subjects for which

students are registered. These fees only cover tuition fees as students will be

required to pay the required examination fees to the Ministry of Education

(Barbados).

UWI OPEN CAMPUS BARBADOS

CXC DAY SCHOOL PROGRAMME

OVERVIEW:

The Open Campus was launched in 2008 and represents the newest Campus of the

University of the West Indies. The Open Campus Barbados Country Site (OCCS Barbados) is one of 50 physical locations in 17 English speaking Caribbean countries offering innovative educational programmes and courses by distance, blended, online and face-to-face learning modes. OCCS Barbados is responsible for public service, outreach and continuing

education programming in this country. The Open Campus offers a three-tiered

registration structure to suit particular needs and educational backgrounds and

allows our students to move and transfer within the entire University system to

reach the required standard.

CXC DAY SCHOOL PROGRAMME:

The Site is a registered CXC Examination Centre and delivers teaching in a range

of CXC/CSEC General Proficiency subjects. The philosophy of lifelong learning

underpins the CXC Day School programme by making educational opportunities

accessible to students in an enabling and student-centred manner. Students can take

their May/June examinations in a familiar setting at the Site.
