TYPES OF JOINTS1- Synarthrotic (fibrous)

2- Amphiarthrotic (cartilaginous)

3- Diarthrotic or Synovial

They are non-movable. They have no joint cavity or capsule. Articulating bones are held together by fibrous tissue. Ex: sutures and syndesmoses

They are slightly movable. They have no joint cavity or capsule. Bones are held together by cartilage and ligaments. Ex: Symphyses pubis

They are freely movable. Articulating bones are covering by a thin layer of articulating cartilage. The bones are joined by a fibrous capsule lined by a synovial membrane, and by ligaments
