Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam

APJ Abdul Kalam was born on 15th October, 1931, in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. He is the son of Ashiamma Jainulabdeen (mother) and Jainulabdeen Maraykar (father). He is vegetarian. He was from a poor family and helped by distributing newspaper to help within family’s income.

He works in Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He specially worked on military missile. In 2002, APJ Abdul Kalam became the 11th President of India.
