Social responsibilities
Student social responsibilities mainly focus on taking responsibility for one's own actions. It is a promise everyone should make for the society while working for the social, cultural and, ecological causes. We at DAV teach them how to be socially responsible and vigilant. During the session the school had organized rally to make the people aware. Such rallies were aimed to 1. Cleanliness of surroundings. 2. Make the planet earth green through plantation. 3. Rubella Vaccination to keep everybody healthy. 4. send all eligibilities to cast their vote. 5. To inculcate values of love and compassion within oneself. 6. To instill respect for elders. 7. To apprise about Road Safety
Sir, DAV is a very old organization established in 1886and has completed more than 130 years. This long
period and horizontal as well as vertical growth signifies our success story. The first school was established
in 1886 at Lahore. Now DAV is managing 900 + institutions across the country. We do not give franchise just
to maintain its mottobut to serve the society and remove the darkness of ignorance through the light of
knowledge TamsoMaaJyotirgamaya. Its policy is not to earn ,ratherthe entire income of the school is spent in
the welfare of the students as well as to enrich the infrastructure of the same school. No part of it is
transferred anywhereelse, even to DAV Headquarters. I am feeling proud to mention a few nameswho have
been the Alumni of DAV: Former PM Shri Indra Kumar Gujral, Shri Manmohan Singh, ShriAtal Bihari
Vajpai,, Ex- President Shri Shankar DayalSharma,Shri Lalalajpat Rai, in the field of sports, Kapil Dev,
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuv Raj Singh, Astronaut Kalpana Chawla, in the field of glamour, Shahrukh
Khan,AnupamKher, Sushant Sigh Rajput and many more. The list is very long Sir
DAV School Hudco was established in 1991 and has completed 28 years. During this period it has set many
milestones and now has become a premiere institution of DurgBhilai . Not only has this but a National
Magazine EDUCATION WORLD ranked it 1stin Chhattisgarh consecutively for 2 years i.e. in the year 2013
& 2014. Presently we are running classes from Nursery to class XII. The school is recognized with its
performance and also with the project it takes to create awareness in the society.
Sir, it is known that progress symbolizes life and is a must for the institution for its survival. DAV Hudco
also believes in it. The parents are regularly consulted for the proper growth of students and are counselled
in the presence of parents. We have installed smart boards in all classrooms. This time we have added Virtual
Laboratory software for giving better understandingabout the science practical. The Language students have
been facilitated with the English laboratory where all four skills i.e.reading, writing, speaking, and listening
are improved. To havebetter grooming of the tiny tots, we are developing Pre-Primary wing separately with
the facility of children’s playground and park. To promote cashless transaction the school followsthe
guidelines of Govt ,CBSE, DAVand has stopped the collection of fee in cash. The parents have option to
deposit the fee through internet, swipe machine, cheque, on-line with the help of HDFC E--Pay and HDFC
gateway. In this series we are introducing a very simple and approachable mechanism to deposit the school
fee as well as to know the activities of their ward and this mechanism is “School’s App”. Parents
candownload“DAV HUDCO APP” and get themselves acquainted with each and every activities of their ward
what they wish to know.
Sir, I would like to avail this opportunity to make the parents’more aware and i.e.
(A) Attendparent’s teachers meeting on every second Saturday
(b) Attend the special meeting chaired by the Principal, scheduled and informed at the beginning of session
(c ) Share the feeling of your wards
(d) Spare time and take dinner with the family members
(d) Respond to the schools notice
(f) Pay schools fee on time to ensure regular and timely payment of salary to the school staff
Dear Parents you are an important pillar and so your cooperation is essential for the growth of the school and
of your wards. The school managementhasdecided not to increase school fees in the session 2019-20. But
going to make it compulsory for students to be regular in school. We are coming forward with so many
innovative ideas and will apprise you from time to time.
All the good work of the school has been possible with the cooperation of our highly qualified and dedicated
faculty. Our thanks to the management committee of our school for their able guidance and encouragement. If
I were to put all the events at DAV in a Nutshell, we encourage a child to observe, to explore, to experiment
,to probe, to analyze, to confront problems & find the solutions, Finally to develop the skills essential to face
the future.
On behalf of DAV Public School HudcoI would like to conclude by extending my sincere thanks to all the
parents and each one of you our well wishers who have lent a supportive hand down through the years, in all
our endeavors to produce a confident, educated and capable batch of students each year. Thus, shaping the
future of your children who are the destiny of this country. .
Thank You.
Annual Report Junior Wing
I feel honoured to extend a hearty welcome to our
Distinguished Chief Guest , Mishra Ji , Guest of Honour Dr. Dixit _____________
All the dignitaries, Parents, Teachers and Dear Children, on this special occasion of our Annual Day and
Prize Distribution Function.
It is my proud privilege to read before this august gathering the report for the year 2018-19.
The Annual Report showcases the achievements and glories of our school, undoubtedly, but also makes us think deeply about our shortcomings. We have always been committed to create an environment in the school which helps the young minds to blossom and provide a platform for individual thinking and holistic development of the child’s personality.
Here I would like to mention that DAV follow the objective of Early Education Development Programme,
the overall development i.e. physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual growth of the learner of age
group 3 to 9 years of age through play way method and activities. This method discourages pen-paper test
and emphasizes on the on-going process of evaluation. Evaluation, as we know, is an integral part of
teaching- learning process that helps to provide feedback for the success of teaching on one hand and
achievement of the students on the other. The teachers have been provided 05 days training every year to
understand it and implement it successfully.
Research has shown that test is not at all accurate when measuring a child’s abilities because the child does
not understand the phenomenon of testing. They also may not measure a child’s true ability because the child
may not reveal what he knows during a test probably because he does not have mood, is nervous, tired, sick,
frightened, worried about a home problem or bored at the time of the test. Sometimes they find difficulties in
countering the language barrier.
Therefore, child’s progress needs to be measured by the teacher’s on-going observation over the whole year,
and not on a single test. Child’s progress should be compared to his previous achievement and not to the
achievement of other children.
The balance of work and play activities are essential to our physical and emotional well-being and the activity we do defines who we are and also determines our quality of life. Throughout the year various activities like storytelling, poem recitation , talk show on animals, puppet show on ‘Community Helpers’, cookery show reflecting mother child bond ,picture reading etc. were conducted to develop their cognitive ,thinking, listening ,speaking and writing skill. We have also acknowledged their attendance, healthy eating habits and neatness.

Social responsibilities
Student social responsibilities mainly focus on taking responsibility for one's own actions. It is a promise everyone should make for the society while working for the social, cultural and, ecological causes. We at DAV teach them how to be socially responsible and vigilant.
As a part of health campaign Rubella vaccination was done in the school from nursery to class XI. To
sensitize the children about positive values like nurturing the environment, working in a team plantation drive is conducted as a regular part of our school. Value education sessions are also conducted under the programme to instill certain positive values in the children like helping the needy, inculcating the values of love and compassion
within oneself. To instill respect for elders among the children, Grand Parent’s Day is celebrated. In the next
academic session we are planning to involve the tiny tots also in various types of social awareness
campaigning. To have better grooming of the tiny tots, we are developing Pre-Primary wing separately with
the facility of children’s playground and park.
All the good work of the school has been possible with the cooperation of our highly qualified and dedicated
faculty. Our thanks to the management committee of our school for their able guidance and
