    This article is basically about different types characteristics associated withspanking. It offers many statements based off studies done. Caucasians are morelike to spank their child more than any other ethnic group. When it comes to family,single parents, stepparents, and moms are more likely to spank their child. Forexample, a married woman is least likely to spank child than a unmarried woman.Also families in low income areas are more like to spank their children. Youngermoms spank their children more than older moms. Parents in the south are morelikely to spank their child more than any other region.

    This article basically states that people in low income areas are more likely to beattheir children. Studies reveal that stress factors from the parents job leads tocorporal punishment being inflicted on the child. For example, a parent who just had

    a terrible day at work could go home and with any slight annoyance by child willstart disciplining them. African American single mothers are also more likely topunish their children. This is based off studies that revealed all the stress that theblack mother has to deal with on a daily basis, like taking the tremendous role ofbeing both the mom and dad.

    This article is based off a study done in southern Georgia. It gives the reader insightview on a childs perception of corporal punishment. Most children perceived thatthe punishment that he or she received was unfair.     and psychological problems within the child. The harsher the punishment equals themore critical the psychological problem. This also depends on what the childconsiders as harsh or not harsh.

    This article deals with stress factors inflicted on children due to corporalpunishment. It talks about how disciplinary methods like spanking lead todepression in youth. It says that there are several studies that show that parentswho are more supportive of their children are less likely to receive corporalpunishment. They believe there is connection between corporal punishment andcontrol. For example parents who exhibit this form of disciplinary action feel thatthis lets the child know who s in control. It also suggests that forms of physicalpunishment such as spanking and whipping the child could lead to abusive andantisocial behavior.

    This article deals with parents who spank their children and parents who do notspank their children. It suggests that parents from each side base their view oncorporal punishment from the advice they receive from outside. Studies show thatparents take in advice unknowingly sometimes. Parents are more likely to relymore on advice from literary sources other than advice from another individual.From this advice is where the parent develops their perception on whether or not itis alright to spank or not spank the child. It just depends on how that parentinterprets the information given to them.
