Sobre Al Andalus PhototourAL ANDALUS PHOTO TOUR es un nuevo proyecto fotográfico de Peter Manschot y Miguel Gil, que combina fotografía y turismo en los paisajes más destacados de Andalucía.
Tras haber vivido intensamente la fotografía del paisaje durante más de diez años, tiempo en el que ha podido retratar los lugares en sus momentos más fotogénicos, y haber plasmado su obra, entre otros, en cinco libros de autor, Peter Manschot se asocia con el fotógrafo Miguel Gil para poder compartir su experiencia en los talleres y rutas de AL ANDALUS PHOTO TOUR.
Asimismo, Miguel Gil es un experimentado fotógrafo en la disciplina de la fotografía nocturna, aunque también está desarrollando su trabajo en la fotografía de paisaje y de estudio, el cual ha podido mostrar en distintas exposiciones individuales y colectivas de la provincia. También cabe destacar su papel como cofundador del colectivo Homo Fotograficus, en 2010; además es el director del Al Andaluz Photofest, de la ciudad de Granada.
AL ANDALUS PHOTO TOUR organiza viajes fotográficos, rutas senderistas guiadas e interpretadas así como rutas mixtas por los paisajes más atractivos y variados de la geografía andaluza, desde bosques frondosos y subtropicales, paisajes desérticos, altas cumbres, hasta lugares fantasmagóricos, pasando por paisajes teñidos por colores otoñales y las costas volcánicas…, introduciendo componentes culturales y etnográficos como pueblos y minas abandonados, llevando a los asistentes a los lugares más destacados de estos paisajes en sus momentos más espectaculares (siempre cuando el tiempo meteorológico lo permita).
Nuestro objetivo es ofrecer rutas que buscan el contraste de los paisajes, por caminos que empiezan a dibujarse donde terminan los folletos de viajes, uniendo cultura, fotografía, naturaleza y etnografía, en recorridos vivenciales que nos trasportan en el tiempo y hacia nuevas experiencias, sensaciones y horizontes.
Este catálogo ofrece una selección de rutas “One to One”; confeccionados de forma personalizada y a medida de tanto personas individuales como grupos.

About Al Andalus PhototourAL ANDALUS PHOTO TOUR is a new photography project of Peter Manschot and Miguel Gil, which combines photography and tourism in the most outstanding landscapes of Andalusia
After having lived intensively landscape photography during more than ten years, time in which he has been able to portray Andalusia in its most photogenic moments and having published his work in among others, five own books, Peter Manschot joins with the photographer Miguel Gil to share his knowledge and experience in the workshops of AL ANDALUS PHOTO TOUR
Miguel Gil is an experienced photographer in the discipline of night photography, although he is also developing his work in landscape and studio photography, which he was able to show in different individual and collective exhibitions throughout the province of Granada. Worth to mention is also his work as co-founder of the Homo Fotograficus group in 2010, and he is also the director of the Al-Andaluz Photofestival of Granada.
AL ANDALUS PHOTO TOUR organizes photographic, guided walking and mixed tours around the most attractive and varied landscapes of the geography of Andalusia, from lush and subtropical forests, desert landscapes, high mountain peaks, to phantasmagorical places, passing through landscapes dyed by autumn colours or volcanic coasts…introducing cultural and ethnographic components like abandoned mines and villages. Taking the assistants to the most outstanding places of these landscapes and in their most spectacular moments (whenever the weather allows it).
Our aim is to offer you tours that seek the contrast of landscapes, on routes that start where the roads of the travel brochures end, uniting culture, photography, nature and ethnography, in experiential tours that transport us in time and towards new sensations and horizons.
This catalogue offers a selection of “One to One Tours”; Personalized routes suited to individual persons as well as groups.
We offer our tours and workshops in Spanish, English, German, French and Dutch, adapted to the demands of our clients.

Nuestro recorrido nos llevara a las montañas más altas de la Península Ibérica, con sus picos de casi 3.500 metros de altura, cubiertos de nieve gran parte del año. Este espacio tiene una gran variedad de paisajes y ecosistemas, con una extraordinaria biodiversidad. Son numerosas las especies de flora y fauna endémicas. Existe la posibilidad de contemplar la montaña desde cotas muy elevadas y disfrutar la sensación de altura y amplitud del lugar.
También podemos aproximarnos a Sierra Nevada por una de las rutas más hermosas de Andalucía y dejarnos asombrar por las vistas desde abajo de las montañas más altas. Mientras caminamos entre un hermoso y frondoso bosque mediterráneo, surcado por arroyos y cascadas, de repente se abre el telón para dar paso a una espectacular panorámica en donde aparecen sus impresionantes montañas, asomadas a unos 2.500 metros por encima de nosotros, regalándonos un vista que invita al pleno disfrute y a experimentar la grandeza del lugar.

Our tour takes us to the highest mountains in the Iberian Peninsula, with peaks of almost 3,500 metres high, covered with snow most of the year. This place has a great variety of landscapes and ecosystems, with an extraordinary biodiversity. There are numerous endemic species of flora and fauna. There is the possibility to admire the mountain from very high altitudes and enjoy the sensation of height and magnitude of the place.
We can also approach Sierra Nevada by one of the most beautiful routes in Andalusia and become amazed by the view from below to the highest mountains. As we walk between a beautiful and lush Mediterranean forest, crossed by streams and waterfalls, suddenly the valley opens to show a spectacular view of mountains, “looking” at us from 2,500 metres above, a gift that invites the full enjoyment of the beauty and greatness of this place.

Hoy visitaremos la Sierra de Baza, la tercera sierra más alta de Andalucía, con muchos picos que sobrepasan los dos mil metros de altura y cubiertos de nieve gran parte del año.
Entre estas montañas visitaremos unos hermosos prados, que mantienen su alegre verde durante gran parte del año y paseamos entre los enormes centenarios pinos autóctonos, de gran valor botánico.
Aquí cerca podemos ver un pozo de nieve utilizado antaño para abastecer hielo. Si nos quedan fuerzas podemos subir al pico más alto de la zona para disfrutar de las vistas como para completar la sensación de paz y de ser el protagonista del lugar.

Today we will visit the Sierra de Baza, the third highest mountain range of Andalusia, with many peaks exceeding two thousand meters in height and covered with snow most of the year.
Among these mountains we visit some beautiful meadows, which kept its cheerful green for much of the year, and stroll around huge old autochthonous pines trees, of great botanical value.
Near this place there is a snow pit once used to supply ice. If we still have forces left we can climb to the highest peak in the area to enjoy the views as to complete the feeling of peace and of being the protagonist of the place.

Today we will visit one of the few native forests of Europe in the very heart of the Sierra Nevada National Park.

Our route takes us through extensive pine forests, rugged mountains and deep valleys crossed by rivers with crystal-clear waters.
We walk down to one of these valleys to visit beautiful waterfalls with turquoise coloured pools.

Today we travel to the Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata, famous for its nature and unspoilt beaches as well as its beautiful bays, surrounded by interesting volcanic formations.
As we approach this place we see how the landscape becomes increasingly more desert, reminiscent of landscapes of films and documentaries. Apart from enjoy its clean Mediterranean waters that invite for a swim, we visit its most beautiful and emblematic coves as well as picturesque villages, salt mines, reefs and viewpoints.

The Torcal is one of the most interesting and spectacular places in Andalusia, where erosion from the elements has carved over thousands of years an incredible landscape, with “forests” and labyrinths of stones, formed by limestone rocks whose ghostly forms seem to want to suggest faces and petrified figures.

Podrás visitar una acequia de aguas calientes que ha crecido de forma natural durante miles de años, formando lo que conocemos como acueducto y llegando a alcanzar una altura de mas de 15 metros y formando unas preciosas cascadas. También visitaremos su flora endémica, sus dólmenes en buen estado de conservación y unos petroglifos cuyas enigmáticas inscripciones parecen querer transportarnos en el tiempo. Today we visit an area which is a true oasis in the middle of a large desert area of the “Bad-Lands”.
Multiple births of thermal waters, which can be enjoyed in the spa and the swimming pool, give life to a true Orchard, which is at the same time as an oasis of peace and sensations and whose magic accompanies us throughout the tour.
We visit a hot springs ditch which has grown upwards naturally for thousands of years, reaching today a considerable height and forming some beautiful waterfalls. We will also visit its endemic flora, its dolmens in good state of conservation and some geoglyphs whose enigmatic inscriptions seem to want to transport us in time. This lovely walk in this magic area invites us to enjoy and relax, and open horizons towards new experiences.

La ruta de las Aldeas Bereberes pasa por la Sierra de Baza, la tercera sierra más alta de Andalucía con muchos picos que sobrepasan los dos mil metros y cubiertos de nieve gran parte del año.
Nuestro camino comienza por un cómodo carril en el límite de la provincia de Granada con Almería, con inmejorables vistas a Sierra Nevada, para llegar una de las zonas más bellas e interesantes de esta gran Sierra, un altiplano con unas extraordinarias marismas, una valiosa flora y cortijos auténticos, cuya construcción es de grandes rocas planas y de colores oscuros.
Nuestra siguiente parada es otra de las joyas de la Sierra, un gran pueblo minero abandonado cuyas formas y colores recuerdan a los pueblos bereberes de Marruecos, donde nos acercaremos a la historia y vida del poblado, así como a la de sus habitantes.

Today our route guides us through the Sierra de Baza, Andalusia´s third highest mountain range with many peaks that exceed the 2,000 meters and snow covered most of the year. Our journey begins by a comfortable rail on the border between the province of Granada and Almería with unbeatable views of the Sierra Nevada, to reach one of the most beautiful and interesting places of this great Sierra, a high plateau with an extraordinary marshland with valuable flora and authentic farmhouses whose colour and flat construction seems to imitate the large flat rocks.
Our next stop is another one of the jewels of the Sierra, a large abandoned mining town whose shapes and colours remind us of the Berber villages of Morocco, where we approach to the history and life of the town and its inhabitants.

En la ruta de las joyas desérticas nos encontraremos con una zona que alberga una gran variedad de paisajes y sorprendentes zonas desérticas, con increíbles formas y colores, con gigantescas dunas blanquecinas, surcadas por capas de tierras de colore salmón, rodeadas por espectaculares rocas con tonos rojizos y amarillos, formando un crisol de formas y colores únicos en Europa. En medio de este hermoso conjunto fluye el gran Guadalquivir de Córdoba y Sevilla rodeado por una frondosa vegetación de ribera como si fuera un oasis en el desierto. Aparte de las grandes posibilidades fotográficas, el lugar nos ofrece un paisaje de lo más diverso donde podemos contemplar la tierra y su historia, reflejada en su geología, minerales y los colores de sus diferentes capas, encontrar paz y sentirnos como si formáremos parte de este sorprendente lugar.

Today we visit an area that is home to a wide variety of landscapes and amazing desert landscapes, with beautiful shapes and colours like gigantic white dunes, crossed by layers of lands of salmon colours, surrounded by spectacular rocks with red and yellow tones, forming a crucible of shapes and colours, unique in Europe.
In the middle of this beautiful set flows the large Guadalquivir of Cordoba and Seville surrounded by a lush river bank vegetation as if it were an oasis in the desert. Apart from the great photographic opportunities, the place offers a landscape of the most varied where we can see the Earth and its history, reflected in its geology and its minerals and the different layers and colours of its soil, as well as find peace and feel as if we were part of this amazing place.

En la ruta del Desierto te invitamos a conocer y vivir los increíbles paisajes desérticos de la Hoya de Guadix. Empezamos nuestra ruta en el pueblo de Gorafe, pintoresco por sus grandes tajos desérticos que lo rodean. Un camino nos guía milagrosamente entre los impresionantes cortados con hermosas vistas al pueblo. Continuamos nuestra aventura para llegar a un punto, donde un ancho camino nos introduce en la increíble zona de los Bad-Lands. Con cada paso el paisaje se vuelve más espectacular, con sus grandes cárcavas y formaciones de areniscas de diferentes colores conformando un espectacular conjunto desértico que recuerda a los parajes de películas y documentales. Disfrutaremos de las espectaculares vistas de 360 grados a las cinco cordilleras montañosas, gran parte del año cubiertas de nieve, dando lugar un impresionante contraste con el desértico paisaje, en uno de los lugares con el mayor silencio de toda Europa, que invita plenamente a la desconexión, la relajación, el disfrute y a la sensación de formar parte de este gran lugar, conectando íntimamente con el entorno.

Today we invite you to know and live the incredible desert landscapes of the Hoya de Guadix. We start our route in the picturesque village of Gorafe, located between great desert cliffs. A path leads us miraculously between the impressive cliffs with beautiful views of the village. We continue our journey to get to a point where a wide track introduces us to the amazing area of the Bad-Lands. With each step the landscape becomes more spectacular with its large gullies and sandstone cliffs of different colours forming a spectacular desert that resembles landscapes of films and documentaries. We enjoy spectacular views to 360 degrees to the five mountain ranges, much of the year covered in snow, forming an impressive contrast with the desert landscape, in one of the places with the greatest silence in Europe that fully invites to disconnection, relaxation enjoyment, and feeling part of this great place.
