The main image is invented taken of dizzee at an angle adds originality to the front cover.

They used the celebrities name 'Dizzee Rascal as the main cover line. To show his importance to the magazine but to also help sell the magazine as dizzee Rascal is very known and its a name that alot of people know.

as we expect to see the Barcode, Date and Time are all issuers together at the bottom right third of the cover. This is important for buyers and sellers to see.

The rule of thirds is the plan of the magazine and gives editors a set idea of where everything goes. E.g. putting the main image mainly in the middle thirds because that's the main focus point and putting the Masthead across the top thirds, so that its easier to see.

used to make the reader want to read on to find out more of what's going on.

TARGET AUDIENCE OF THIS MAGAZINE

METHODS USED TO ATTRACT THIS TARGET AUDIENCE ARE:

The chains and the trainers. His personal codes.

The celebrity ‘Dizzee Rascal’ gives us an idea of what target audience it is for.

the target audience for this magazine is RnB lovers and those with that specific musical taste, the connotations for this are the graffiti background, the chains and the bold out there colors. its targeted for ages between 18-25 because its a slightly more mature music magazine. (gender) if any, would be for the Male target group as there is more variety that would fit that gender. I think it would be middle class, those that can afford it. And the lifestyle segmentation for this is YUPPIE (young urban professional).

The bold colours help target a specific

audience.

The main cover line showing his name also Attracts the targeted audience because he is very Famous and his name alone attracts a certain audience.

something back to the target audience, this helps advertise and convince people to buy the magazine.

This main image has been presented across the top and second thirds of the magazine. They have edited it to a black and white to make it look old fashioned and original.

The subheading showing the genre of the music magazine is a really important feature because it indicates what audience it is initially targeted at. It also has stand firsts above it showing various famous and legendary motown artists are being featured. They colours used are white with a gold rim around it. This adds abit of brightness to this fairly dark magazine.

The barcode with the date and time is really significant because it involves the buyer and the seller in terms of sales and keeping up to date.

Who is this targeted at and what's involved?

For this particular magazine, I think it is targeted at both Men and Women at the age of 40+, those mainly of Caribbean ethnic groups. This is a very high end music magazine.
