Classic/Traditional Drinking Fountains

Classic drinking fountains are based on the original Murdock Manufacturing fountain construction. With its distinctive, tulip-style pedestals and brass polished bowls and bubblers, these fountains are perfect for historic and classic installations. The M-1176 Old Style even features the pedal operation instead of the push button. One of the models also features a bowl for pets.

Architectural drinking fountains are modernly designed and constructed of solid brass bowls with a heavy cast iron base and cast al-mag arm. They will withstand all types of environmental conditions, and are highly vandal-resistant. All inner parts are removable for convenient above-grade maintenance and most architectural models are available with a freeze resistant option.

HydrantsMurdock manufactures post, yard, box and wall hydrants which include street washers, sampling stations and flushing hydrants for year round usage. These heavy-duty hydrants, made of only the highest quality materials, adapt to most any environment such as gardens, farms, industrial, streetscapes, cemeteries, sewage/wastewater treatment plants, campgrounds and roadside parks.

Hydrants

Most of the water hydrants are available in ¾" to 2" sizes and they are year round units. These heavy-duty water hydrants, made of only the highest quality materials, adapt to most any environment including gardens, farms, industrial, sewage/wastewater treatment plants, campgrounds and roadside parks.

Several models can be built as non-pollutible units that meet or exceed plumbing code standards for potable water such as A.S.S.E.1057.

Commercial Boxed Ground Hydrants are available with a hinged covered box, for positive protection against freezing when buried outside or in unheated areas and the closing valve is located below the frost line. When hydrant is shut off, water is drained from the casing through the drain hole in the valve housing. The locking cover prevents unauthorized use.

Commercial Sanitary Yard Hydrants are used where an above ground water outlet is required in areas which are subject to freezing temperatures and where water is not allowed to drain from the casing into the surrounding ground area. Freezing is prevented by burying the valve housing below the frost line and draining water from the supply line after shut-off into the sealed canister. The hydrant is engineered to be fully self contained and easily serviced in the field from above grade.

Pre-Engineered Park & Recreation BuildingsMurdock’s Pre-Engineered Park and Recreation Buildings have been well recognized for many years and are offered as restrooms, concessions, shower rooms, storage space and other configurations that can be designed to fit your needs. Easily field assembled, our buildings can accommodate many custom requests, including family changing rooms and special exterior finishes to suit any setting. All of our steel buildings come complete with bid-ready plans, which can be certified upon request. Without exception, our buildings can be fully ADA compliant and are ready for electrical/plumbing connections.

• Vandal Resistance – The 18 gauge galvanized steel walls are designed to take abuse.

• ADA Compliance – Designed to comply with ADA accessibility requirements.

• Sanitation and Ventilation – Unlike concrete, wood or a block structure, the galvanized walls will not absorb moisture or odors and the buildings are designed to be hosed out. Wire guards in the top 14 inches of restroom walls provide generous cross-ventilation while maintaining privacy.

• Lower Maintenance Costs – Super Secur buildings do not burn or rot and are resistant to impacts.

• Visual Design– While the structure of a Murdock’s building is always similar, use of different interior or exterior materials may dramatically change the appearance of a building. Interior options are stainless steel or fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) wall panels in restrooms. For the exterior, we can supply either vertical “board and batten: or horizontal “beveled siding” galvanized steel exterior wall panels. Or, the contractor can install a wood, brick, cultured stone or stucco exterior.

• Cost Effectiveness – The bolt-together assembly helps to reduce construction time and cost. The cost is competitive with other permanent building materials. Even over time, internal changes can be made to the walls, fixtures, and accessories.

Fairway SeriesThe Fairway Series are single person restrooms and there are no toilet stall partitions since the user locks the entrance door. With different signage, the Fairway Series functions well as unisex restrooms. The external modesty screens are optional on the Fairway Series buildings. Restroom additions and concessions, plus storage and shelter options may be included with a Fairway building.

Waterless SeriesThe Super Waterless building contains one or more waterless toilet risers. This building is appropriate whenever a restroom is needed but no sewer system is available.

Available Features:•A stainless steel toilet riser with one toilet riser per vault.•A 12 inch diameter black vent pipe for each vault o the south side of the building.•Black polyethylene vaults with external cleanouts.•Ventilation openings on all exterior walls.

Pathway SeriesThe Pathway Series building has the most versatile layouts. These multi-person restrooms are used in medium to large parks. They can range in size from 3 fixtures per restroom up to 12 fixtures per restroom, plus options for storage, concession, changing rooms or shower requirements.

Pathway Series Additions

Pathway Series buildings may be modified with room additions along the rear of the buildings. Shower rooms may be added where they can be accessed through the restrooms. Additionally, storage additions, concessions room additions and shelter additions can also be added to the Pathway Series.
