Awa Odori Performance & Workshop

Enjoy the sights and sounds and participate in a traditional, dynamic Warakuren Awa Odori performance & workshop at your event.

Awa Odori is a traditional Japanese summer festival dance from Tokushima in Shikoku. The lively dancers perform wearing traditional Japanese yukata to the sounds of traditional Japanese instruments such as taiko drums, shinobue flute, shamisen lute and kane bell.

Warakuren’s bilingual performances, and explanations will bring this Japanese dance form alive for you to not only watch, but also to participate in and to learn all about. Performances and workshops can be tailored to your needs and your event.
