Conectores de secuencia

Son una serie de palabras muy útiles para establecer secuencias en las explicaciones de procesos. Este tipo de discurso es clave ,por ejemplo Cuando se explica un proceso, se trata de presentar en orden una serie de pasos. A menudo, la opción más inmediata es la conjunción and, con su variante and then. Pero en inglés hay muchas más expresiones que harán que nuestras presentaciones no se conviertan en una monótona cadena de and then… and then… and then.

Empezar la explicación de un proceso:At first / Initially / To start with etc

Encadenar un proceso:1. Se pueden utilizar una serie de adverbios derivados de los numerales ordinales: Second / third/2. Existen otros adverbios como:Then / Later / Afterwards / Subsequently etc.

Expresar la simultaneidad:At this point / At this stage / During this time / Meanwhile etc.

Concluir una secuencia:Eventually, Ultimately, Finally etc
