Report on Independence Day Celebration-2017
It was heartening to see children apply themselves with much zeal and zest
to the Independence Day celebration. Their participation in March Pasts
and cultural activities on the 71st Independence Day revealed their
enthusiasm.
National Public School, Kengeri, celebrated the Independence Day on
15th August 2017 with a lot of gusto. The Independence Day was flagged off
with the hoisting of National Flag by the guest Shri. K.V. Nagaraj Murthy
along with the secretary Ms Divya B.S and the Principal Mrs Geeta Dikshit.
The entire school was festooned with colours of the Indian flag. The
corridors were decorated with various works of art by students.
The excitement however did not subdue but the entire school thronged in
with extremely high patriotic fervour with the commencement of cultural
programmes.
The senior choir left the gathering mesmerized with their beautiful
harmony, followed by the dances by students of Grade-X depicting the love
for the nation.
The chief guest, Shri. K.V. Nagaraj Murthy addressing the gathering said,
“India a land of cultural heritage has undergone lots of turmoil in the past
7 decades of our independence, yet the highest ethic of Unity in Diversity is
prevailing among the citizens of the nation.”
The celebration concluded with a speech by Mrs Anju Saxena on the
significance of the day.
The entire programme had an essence of patriotism and avidity.
