How to hack someones facebook account
many people out there using the platform there will no doubt be 1000's of people with bad
intentions for for your account but how would they do this?|Of course in that number there
will be numerous among them who may wish to take control of your account.|With higher
numbers of users comes an increased level of threat simply though the numbers involved.}
The first thing a hacker would need is your email address used for Facebook. You sign up for
a mailing list on some site and they sell it on in an email list to someone else. To protect
yourself from this use an email address for Facebook that you don't use for anything else at
all. If you have an email address of anyone there is nothing stopping you from visiting
Facebook and clicking the "forgot password" link and entering the email to test it. Facebook
will soon tell you if there is an account associated with it or not. If it send the password reset
email then you know its a Facebook account. With your login email known you might be
susceptible to a 'phishing' attack. The attacker sends an email to your account you use on
Facebook that is faked to look like its coming from Facebook itself. If someone has web
hosting at a domain name like helpdesk.com they could also have a subdomain called
Facebook. From this they could send email quite easily from the address
noreply@facebook.help-desk.com claiming there is some problem with your account and
requiring you to log on and update some details. This is an old trick and while it might be
second nature to some never to click any links in an email like this instead to go to the
website and log in as usual. Even in today technology ruled world a high percentage of
internet users still don't stick to this original rule for safety. If you are silly enough to click the
link in the fake email then you will find yourself on a web site controlled by the hacker so
when you log in there you are handing over all your details.
The other threat to your Facebook account comes from a family member or spouse using the
same computer as you. There may be suspicion in a relationship with one partner having
reason not to trust what the other it up to. Facebook has caused problems between many
couples so this is more common than you may think. When someone has actual physical
access to your computer it is much harder to protect yourself fully. This is not just limited to
your own computer of course any computer be it school or a cafe is at risk. So if this is a
concern for you you will already be logging out of you account when you leave the computer
anyway but what other traces may be left behind? Many password are kept in the protected
storage and can even be remembered if they are set to not.
There are a number of tools that can display these so called protected passwords as text.
One example is Cain & Abel. More targeted tools use more complex extraction methods
depending the target platform. Faceborker is one such application that claims to be able to
do this for Facebook and the various videos on YouTube would appear to back this up. Of
course Faceborker or any of the others could be stopped by using numbers and special
characters such as the dollar sign to make a more secure password. Of course if the attacker
has access to your actual computer then they would just use the build in keylogger. With a
keylogger running silently on your computer you would never know that your log in details are
being quietly recorded and reported back to the attacker. As keylogging programs are not a
new threat most modern day Anti Virus software will detect them when they are installed.
This only works however if the keylogger is already known and discovered so that it can be
included in the detection database. Even then though if the key logger is started by someone
sitting at your computer they can just select ignore from the virus warning that would pop up
and you would be none the wiser.
You're only real defence against this is not to use Facebook for your extra marital activities!
