CAMS-ii Data MinerYour Creations with Your Data

Queries can be saved with a query name and description.

Queries can be recalled by Query Name, Query Description, Last Run Date, or Last User.

DataMiner enhancements.Added two new buttons to data miner under the 'From Table' selection

Ability to shuffle selected items Ability to do calculations on some fields. Ability to nest where and having clauses in parenthesesAdded system variables to simply some date checking Ability to do calculations on some fields.

Table Descriptions button - Lists tables and a description of the information that is contained within the table.

Field Descriptions button describes the fields in the selected table. Where applicable, available options have been listed and described as well.

The Personal data (names table) is automatically joined (Reference Fields drop-down list) to any primary table that contains the member accountnumber.

The General Ledger Chart of Accounts table is automatically joined to any General Ledger table that contains the general ledger account number.

From Table is the primary table (file) of information that we want to see.Select Fields are the fields from the primary table.Reference Fields are the Personal data (names) and Chart Of Accounts tables.Order By allows you to specify a sort order by clicking the field in the selection list.Group By is used to combine records with identical values in specified field(s) usually for calculating aggregate values.The Where Area allows you to filter your data by using selection criteria.The Compare To drop-down list allows you to compare a field using logical operators.The Value text box allows you to use an alphanumeric value, date, or to compare two fields from the same table.Logical Multiple filter criteria can be set using the logical and/or connectors.

The Show check box places the field in the Field drop-down box in the Results Display Area.

The Aggregate Area allows you to perform arithmetic functions from the Aggregate drop-down list on a selected data field and compare to a numerical value. Field (As) provides a way to give a more descriptive heading in the output. Some SQL Keywords cannot be used.

The Compare To drop-down list allows you compare a field using Logical Operators.

The Value text box allows you to use an alphanumeric value to compare to a field in the Field drop-down box.

Max Rows Controls the number of rows displayed when the query isevaluated. Following the last display line, the number of rows retrieved and displayed will appear.Save As text box allows you to save the query by giving it a name. This allows you to retrieve and run the query at a future date.Overwrite check box allows you to make changes to an existing query and save those changes without creating a new query with the changes.Description of Query text box allows for a more detailed description of the query.

Auto Run Frequency allows this query to run during end of day Processing. The results are saved in the camsxfer folder with the name structure of DM-SaveAsName-ccyymmdd.csv

The Save Query button provides for saving the query so it can be run again.The Evaluate Query button executes the query and displays the results in the Results Display Area. The Query must be “evaluated” at least once before the query can be saved.The Reset Fields resets the query fields, the operators, and the prepares the Data Miner to start another query, but does not clear the Results Display Area.The Export Results button exports the data from your query to a .csv file for use in another application. The operator is prompted to name and save the query on their workstation to whatever location they prefer.

Close Miner allows the operator to close the CAMS-ii Data Miner

View Clause and “Where” drop down are primarily intended for CBS’ use

Data Miner also provides for aggregate totals.

Allows for the running of queries during daily, week-end, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end Batch Processing. Queries are run during NEXT DAY BATCH PROCESSING (Start) and exported to the camsxfer folder on your CAMS-ii Host

Variables include: @@DAY for current day @@BOW for beginning of current week@@EOW for end of current week @@BOM for beginning of current month@@EOM for ending of current month @@BOQ for beginning of current quarter@@EOQ for end of current quarter @@BOY for beginning of current year@@EOY for end of current year Offset (n or -n) after the variable

Queries run during Batch Processing are stored in the camsxfer folder with a date stamp on the end of the filename.

Data Miner can be used to update the CAMS-ii Cross Sell database.

Data Miner will soon be used to feed the Relationship Pricing software system.

Data Miner supports the ability to do calculations on some fields.
