•Keep roosters away from hens unless you want eggs to be fertilised.

•Appropriate budget

•Invest in some chicken coops

•Coop must be opened at all times

•Check the chickens by a vet

•Obey laws and regulations

Problems with chickens

Chicks can get curled toes

When chickens get old they can get a disease called egg break.

Some chickens can go through stage of egg eating.

•Chickens can get lice.

•Chickens can get spider mites which bite them.

•Chicken manure can be used as fertiliser on your garden.

•Chickens can get rid of those nasty pests that live in your garden. When chickens search for bugs, their scratching is good for the soil.

Meat bred chickens are much bigger
