What is a Tropical Rain Forest?

• A Tropical Rain Forest is a biome filled with more than a million plants and animals.

• Most of the Tropical Rain Forest are located near the equator.

• Scientist predict that more types of plants and animals lived there than other biomes combined.

• The temperatures is between 70-90 degrees and with a lot of rain year round because of the being near the equator.

• Most of the Tropical Rain Forest are located in South America, Asia, and Africa.

• The Tropical Rain Forest is a cool place to see amazing animals and plants!!!

Bracket FungiBracket fungi grow in shelf or bracket shapes. They mostly

grow on trees and plants or decaying animals. They can weigh more than 700 pounds. They eat the living or decaying organism they live on. They grow in a thread like shape called hyphea.

bougainvillea is a beautiful plant. It grows 10 to 20 feet in height. It grow as a small tree or large shrub. This beautiful plant likes plenty of rain evenly throughout the seasons.

Faunal Adaptations

• Red Eyed tree frog

• Black jaguars

• Parrots

Red Eyed Tree frog

-This is a red eyed tree frog it lives in the tropical rainforest. -Being green it helps the tree frog blend in with the trees an leaves and it helps them survive with out any predator from getting them that’s one way they can survive.-another way they survive is with there red big eyes they defense menchasim - They also when a predator try’s to take them and they rush away but the predator gets a big surprise when they frog pulls there legs out that are brightly colored and they run away fast.

Black jaguars

-the jaguars come out at night most of the time and there black fur helps them blend in at night so they can stay away from predators -Jaguars really don’t have predators so that helps them.

Parrots

-Parrots can fly so if they need to get away from predators they can fly. -parrots are smart birds so if they can’t find away to get away from there predators then they will find away too.-Also there color can blend them into the trees if they need.

Human Impact

• Many people are chopping down trees from the Tropical Rain Forest and leaving them without trees.

• People are also killing animals and it throws the food chain and the society totally off.

• People also take minerals, plants and other things to make medicine and beverages.

Interesting facts

• what I found interesting in this biome is that there is a lot of big waterfalls

• another fact is that there is a lot of colorful animals.
