Many  people  work  jobs  because  they  don’t  have  the  education  needed  to  enter  careers,  though  jobs  can  certainly  turn  into  careers,  regardless  of  type  of  employment.

Careers  start  with  education.  Careers  are  about  building  on  experience  and  advancing  your  job  skills  and  knowledge.  You  can  apply  for  a  job,  but  you  can’t  apply  for  a  career.

A  job  is  given  to  you;  Careers  are  made  by  you.

Career  mapping    Skills  transfer    Attain  new  training    Acquire  new  skills    Change  the  game    Find  the  career  you  love    Change  your  career  –  change  your  life!

Hard & Soft skills

•  Do you have a skill set that can be sold quite easily?

•  Are you a subject matter expert (SME) in something?

•  How many years of experience do you have?

•  Do you have industry experience from multiple companies?

•  Have you acquired training for a specialty software or hardware technology? Is it in high demand?

•  Are you organized and personable?

•  Can you handle high stressful situations?

If  you  are  a  displaced  worker  looking  for  jobs  in  dying  industries  you  need  a  change.

Every  state  in  the  U.S.  has  programs  to  re-‐train  you  in  STEM  based  careers.  Because  those  jobs  are  in  high  demand.

What  is  STEM?  (Science,  Technology,  Engineering  and  Math)

The  U.S.  Government  is  investing  heavily  in  STEM  jobs!  You  need  to  follow  the  trend!

Begin  the  process  of  job  mapping.  Meaning  assess  your  current  skills  and  see  how  they  can  be  utilized  in  a  new  STEM  based  career.

Once  you  have  clarified  an  area  of  expertise,  now  proceed  to  get  “re-‐trained”  and  start  your  new  career!

Hint:  Boomer  Technology  Group  can  help!

Every  industry  and  employer  on  the  globe  have  STEM  careers  available.  Does  not  matter  if  they  sell  services  or  products.

Boomer  Technology  Group  can  help  assess  your  skills  and  guide  you  to  local  state  funded  programs  for  training  and  job  assistance.

Our  staff  can  provide  you  coaching  and  job  assistance.

We  staff  you  in  a  great  career!
